Its amazing how everyone all the sudden loves this kid, he is a qb that is getting paid playing a f ing game!! Now tell me this, woud he come in to your office and yell at your boss for firing your slacking no good ass?? NO he wouldnt, he could hardly give a rats ass about you, the only difference is, he is still getting paid, but then your fired ass will be collecting unemployment!! Enough of this PR is victim BS, get over it, he is benched and lets move on to our next biggest game of the season!!

Yeah not half these people had love for Pat Ramsey before he was benched. Now its all "boo hoo hoo..Ramsey was so tough, awww c'mon give the poor guy a shot why don't cha'?" Three turnovers = lost confidence. I think the leash was just shorter than people realized. WE HAVE TO WIN AND RAMSEY WASN"T DOING THAT. At least Brunell has a win under his belt, he gives us our best chance. Period.

A win and 70yards passing, in three quarters . Brunells numbers were pathetic, I would rather take the high risk , high reward approach with Ramsey and know that the kid had a fair chance than watch Brunell who has no future with the Redskins dink and dunk the ball down the field and not even put it in the end zone.

Bottom line is that if we make the playoffs this year, no one will care about Ramsey... Except Ghost, who will say we could have gone further....LOL

Not quite true ;)

Depends on how far we go and how we do it. If we actually muster up a good offense this year and make it, I won't say that.

If we go 9-7 and the O is still our weak link, then yeah.

I just want to ask, how much of Brunells yardage was by design? How much time did he have with the starters? Probably next to none. If you're a coach, and you've got a strong defense against a rookie lead offense.. do you push it down the field?

He had one deep pass of significance with Brunell, and it was an INT, but that's because the receiver had his jersey being yanked, so he had little chance to make a play on the ball.

Stats don't tell how many wide receiver screens I saw... safe plays. I don't know if Gibbs will really open it up with Brunell, but he showed a strong arm in the preseason. He has not really gotten insync with these guys, so maybe we should just see. How many turnovers did Brunell cause against the Bears? None. That's not bad, considering he was the backup.

As easy as everyone thinks it is to practice 10% of the time, and still be effective enough to lead a team to a win.. I doubt it is. I supported Ramsey, now I support Brunell, because I want to win. If they put a girl scout in, I'd root for the Skins. I have faith in the team(well minus the girlscout analogy). The running game has to be effective.

Think how many passes Gibbs called with Ramsey in for a little over a quarter(11 passes)... with Brunell in for almost three quarters(14 passes). That tells me he wasn't gonna chance things, and maybe he doesn't want a gunslinger. Its Gibbs team, and if the Skins suck, I'm still a Skins fan. I hope they're good, I want to beat Dallas, but I'm not gonna live and die when one player is benched for not performing to what the coach thought they could.. and this does not just include the 1 quarter, but all preseason, and before.

It was Ramsey's job to win, and maybe he'll be back if Brunell sucks, maybe he won't. Who knows...

If I got fired tomorrow, I would let Andyman know so he could post the scoop here on the ES board. The entire board would then be filled with an immeasurable number of repetitive threads. Some would say I was shafted, some would say my boss had lost it, some would say I broke the copy machine one too many times, and there would even be a poll or five asking people who they liked better: me or the boss who actually built the company. There would be incessant mergers, an unbelievable amount of 17 year old newbies who have never worked in their lives posting with the wisdom and understanding of a 16 year old, and finally a post telling everybody to chill out.

I never knew I was so popular.

He's had a fair chance all off-season. Brunell has out-played him since day 1. The only mistake was not having an open QB competition. That way when Ramsey was out-played none of you guys could be b!tching becuase Brunell would've won the starting job.

I really wanted to see what Ramsey could do in the regular season but its too late for that. He couldn't even show improvement in pre-season.

I'm hoping that Brunell was hurt more then it seemed last year. We'll see.
