DjKam1
I was wondering, after the change that we have made with our QB situation, how long do you guys think Mark Brunnell will be our starting QB if he begins to play like he did last year? I think that Coach Gibbs will not go back to Ramsey if Mark falters. I think we will throw our rookie into the mix, he has shown some promise, poise in the pocket, finds the deep ball, evades the rush, and if all else fails he can move around a bit. I think the last game was the last time we'll see Patrick in a Redskins uniform starting.
TD_washingtonredskins
I hope for 15 games. Campbell might be good soon, but he looked lost in the last couple games he got into.
Ball Coach
If there is going to be a change and there is still a chance at a playoff spot, I expect Ramsey to be the guy.
Doctorfro
Brunell will be our quarterback until he gets hurt or when Joe Gibbs quits at the end of this season.
G-Prime
Gibbs ego won't let him go back to Ramsey.. Brunell and Campbell are Gibbs guys, Ramsey is a Spurrier pick.. Gibbs made it clear he wants to use people that he's gotten.. Therefor he'll go with Campbell imo.
forbeskin
If Brunnel fails, we probably will see Campbell, groom him this year and prepare our run next year. But what do I know, I've been wrong about everything else this year as well.
bgc20886
I just think it's a shame the way this all came about. How much credibility can Coach Gibbs still have with his players now and without credibility how can there be success?
DjKam1
Yeah I agree, the rookie played like one, and he wasn't playing against first string defenses, but I think Joe Gibbs sent a huge message to Patrick and the organization. We need a QB that can play beyond mediocrity, basically better than the Ravens team that won the SB through their defense. We need to attack. I thought PR had that ability, even though he was turning the ball over, however he was taking chances down the field. I don't know how much Mark will be a "threat" but if he wins the game against Dallas and stays healthy he may have a productive year. Obviously he's not our long-term answer, but he will play till the end of the season if he plays well and allow our rookie to take notes and learn. If he falters, I don't imagine Patrick coming back in.
DjKam1
Our team is losing the majority of "spurrier-esque" players. Everyone is pretty much gone from that era, that ol-ball coach really planted a nasty seed in Redskins soil.
Dr Pepper
Brunnell will be the QB up and till the moment Dallas blitzes on his blind side and "Thumbs" doesn't block anyone again, much like the play Ramsey got his head pulled off. TankRizzo
He'll play the whole year, even if he's hurt and SHOULD be benched. Remember how much courage he had last year? :puke:
Guest sith lord
Brunnell will be our QB through 2/5/06.
DjKam1
Yeah I agree TankRizzo, he was injured and hurt our team by staying in for the amount of time he stayed in as the starter. We can't have an injured QB playing when we have some depth in our backups.
myzhi
MB will be in there for as long as he can get off the wheelchair. I am thinking sometime in 2008. I'll let you know the closer we get.
Underwater Ally
How long will Brunell be in? Well lets see, is there any way Gibbs can get booted from the Hall of Fame?
Underwater Ally
Brunnell will be our QB through 2/5/06. Well since we're talking about February, where do you thinkg Gibbs and Brunell will go for Valentines Day?
laurent
We'll watch him fumble and bumble in the same fashion as he did last year and at the 2-6 mark he'll re-insert Ramsey.
Vman2k6
IF brunell really sucks or gets injured, and PR is still around, he'll def. be back in
aspkikn
I'm guessing Gibbs will figure out in just over a quarter that 70 yds passing isn't going to beat Dallas, Brunell isn't the answer, and make an about face again...
DonMagicJuan
lets put it this way... Brunell does well...hes our QB for the rest of the year... Brunell does aweful, then Ramseys turn AGAIN... if they both do bad..then its Jasons turn... Thats the bottom line cause stone cold says so...now if i could only stone cold stunn some of u
SoCalSkins
He will play 15 games. We'll trade PR to Denver for a 7th rd pick, our coaching staff will all resign and take positions at Denver after the season, use the number pick in the draft from us, sign Jamal Lewis and start a new dynasty. Leonard Washington
brunell will probably play mediocre and we will win a couple of games. he won't win any games on his ability alone, but he won't lose them either--gibbs will be overjoyed. the only way ramsey or campbell gets in the game would be in a blowout and brunell is hurt. ST21
I hope Campbell is taking good notes. To be the number one quarterback in Washington you need to be able drop back on every pass and if there is anyone in the viscinity of the receiver.......throw the ball away and hand it off on the next down. This will lead to compliments and high signing bonuses when your rookie contract is up.
Gusthecat
It was the hamstring. Joe Gibbs decision to go after Brunnell was a good one--the rest of the season will prove that.
