jwebst1
That's retarded. Why trade for a QB, when we have starter for next 10 years on the bench. We should have kept Hasselback and got rid of Ramsey imo. Agreed......... I am a huge Ramsey supporter, but if Gibbs knew all along that Ramsey would never be his kind of guy, we definitely should have traded him while he still had some value and kept Timmy H. jmassel1
You know, just because you have a thought doesn't mean you have to post it. In fact let me give you a helpful flowchart.1. I have an idea! Terriffic! go to 2 2. Is idea based on reality or my Madden franchise? If reality, go to 3; If Madden franchise, go to 4 3. Is my idea feasible? Have similar things occurred? If yes, go to 5; If no, go to 4. 4. This is a bad idea Sorry, wait until you have an idea again. 5. Yay! You have a feasible idea! Wait, is there already a thread on this? If yes, go to 6; If no, go to 7. 6. Boo! There's already a thread on my idea. Am I an attention whore? If yes, go to 8; If no, go to 9. 7. Yay! There's no thread on this idea yet! By making a new post you will be seen as an innovator. Congratulations, you're on your way to posting excellence! Just be sure to try and reduce typos and fully explain your idea. Some folks are slow on the uptake. 8. Who care that there's already a post on topic! Make your own post! You have a voice and it needs to be heard! Plus, people will like you more! Go to 4. 9. Should you reply to the other thread with your own well-thought out and well-reasoned opinion or a smilie-only response? If well-reasoned, go to 10, If smilie only, go to 4. 10. Yay! You have meaningfully contributed to Redskins discussion! You should probably print that out and post it near your computer. As for what potential trade value Ramsey has, I suspect there are a number of organizations that believe Ramsey's underperformance has as much to do with the Redskins organization than the deficiencies in Ramsey's game. As such, I suspect that some organization would be willing to part with a 3rd rounder for him. If the market is right, the Skins might even be able to pull a 2nd rounder for him. Wow does someone have a small bug up their ass? It's a post...calm down.
The Sisko
I think the skins are just going to have to bite the bullet and let Ramsey make his mistakes. He has to be allowed to screw up or he's never going to get better. You can't yank a guy for every season he's played in the league, it screws up his head and makes it impossible to succeed. Just give him the ball and let him do his thing. If it doesn't work we have a guy on the bench for next year. Post of the day!! :applause: :applause: If Gibbs does decide to do this next offseason I'd say we should try to trade PRam and a pick to the Jest in exchange for Abraham. We could then look towards bringing Campbell along while getting another year to spread out Brunell's cap hit.

matty dread
People play too much Madden. Trade this guy, trade that guy, fire the coach, etc. It's really getting old, and it's only the first week.
redman
At this point we're looking at Al Del Greco or thereabouts. Isn't this a stupid question? If he's good enough to trade, isn't he good enough to play for us? And if he's not good enough to play for us, why do you think that anyone would give us anything of value for him? SeanT21
Why would we trade for a QB when we just traded 235252 draft picks to draft one?
Oldskool
wow finally another person who thinks that getting rid of hasselback was a bad idea. that kid looked damned good every time i saw him. and correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't he the best looking skins qb in last year's preseason? o_O oh good god. the best thing about Hasselbeck was his wife! Giving up on Ramsey right now is the wrong thing to do. However, if this continues I am not opposed to parting ways with Patrick and cutting Brunell and his bloated salary after 6/1/06 and getting a proven veteran QB. LOL, good stuff, should be a sticky IMO. and to think, before I read your thread, I was 3 beers and 2 lines away from starting a thread about trading Ramsey for a six pack and a Lion King DVD. Then I was gonna suggest we put out an APB on Rypien to get him out of retirement.
Joncevensen
strictly because this is a hypothetical situation and as all coaches say, you always have to consider all options, IF i had to trade ramsey, i would trade him for adrian mcpherson and a second round pick.
