jmassel1
Okay..not another who would you start poll..but how about who would you trade for? I'm thinking Ramsey and a draft pick to San Diego for Phillip Rivers would get us a great QB prospect and rid San Diego of their QB controversy as well as free up the cap room the desperatly want... what do you think? Tom [Giants fan]
There is no way San Diego would do that. The draft pick would have to be very high. Ramsey would be at best, their life long backup to Drew Brees. Rivers was the number four pick of the 2004 draft. You would have to give them at least a second round pick if not a first round. I don't think it would be worth it. For either team.
TimFolk
That's retarded. Why trade for a QB, when we have starter for next 10 years on the bench. We should have kept Hasselback and got rid of Ramsey imo.
Tom [Giants fan]
And since this is about the Redskins, why didn't you post it in the stadium forum? I'm sure more Redskin fans would love to respond to this thread.
Fatty P For The Pulitzer
And after we trade Ramsey for one of them, who should we trade Jason Campbell for? Ramsey is not going anywhere. He's going to be our starter for the rest of the season.

skinned alive
We should have kept Hasselback and got rid of Ramsey imo. wow finally another person who thinks that getting rid of hasselback was a bad idea. that kid looked damned good every time i saw him. and correct me if i'm wrong, but wasn't he the best looking skins qb in last year's preseason? o_O

SlinginSammy HOF '63
why? Even if we did we'd only get a 3rd or 4th rounder at best

Destino
Phillip Rivers (Chargers) - We would have to give up picks for him and we don't even have a first rounder to give up. Not to mention that the Chragers simply wouldn't do this. Matt Schaub (Falcons) - He's raw and will make just as many mistakes as Ramsey. If we traded Ramsey it would be for a start now, not a player to develop. Adrian McPherson (Saints) - Head case and he's never started in the NFL. He's a down grade in the short term and we have a long term "plan B" sitting on the bench. Tommy Maddox (Steelers) - Young for old and washed up? No thanks. I think the skins are just going to have to bite the bullet and let Ramsey make his mistakes. He has to be allowed to screw up or he's never going to get better. You can't yank a guy for every season he's played in the league, it screws up his head and makes it impossible to succeed. Just give him the ball and let him do his thing. If it doesn't work we have a guy on the bench for next year.
jbooma
Your mom... now is she can plug the hole and put some pressure on the qb it might be worth it    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :jk:
ThornWithin
:laugh::laugh: You have Campbell, you want Rivers too? People, you have three decently capable QBs on the roster. Each has their own potential/talents. Sometimes you crack me up.
E-Dog Night
I think we could probably get the Colts to trade Ramsey for Payton Manning. Even swap. And Manning signs for the NFL minimum -- plus incentives, of course.
dfbovey
If we traded Ramsey, I doubt it would be for another QB. Most likely a draft pick, or another area of need like defensive end.
codeorama
First off, no one is going to trade for Ramsey, we are the only ones that think he has value... :paranoid: But on that list of QB's, I'd take Matt Schaub in a second if we ran the WCO. I'd love to see him get a chance when Vick gets hurt.

Ramsey has 0 awards in the record book and Timmy has the best record next to Peytons 49 td passes in a season, a 0.0 QB rating. Yeah i don't think so. Gallen5862
Why is this poll limited to just getting a qb? We might want draft picks for Ramsey.
Mooka
this is Ramsey's contract year. The only possibility of a trade is if halfway through the season a team competing for a playoff spot looses 2 QB's to injury and they are desperate. All this while Ramsey is sitting on our bench. If he's on our bench then I'm not even sure anyone would want him anyway. No possible way we trade him. If a team wants him they'll wait for FA next year. bobzmuda
You know, just because you have a thought doesn't mean you have to post it. In fact let me give you a helpful flowchart. 1. I have an idea! Terriffic! go to 2 2. Is idea based on reality or my Madden franchise? If reality, go to 3; If Madden franchise, go to 4 3. Is my idea feasible? Have similar things occurred? If yes, go to 5; If no, go to 4. 4. This is a bad idea Sorry, wait until you have an idea again. 5. Yay! You have a feasible idea! Wait, is there already a thread on this? If yes, go to 6; If no, go to 7. 6. Boo! There's already a thread on my idea. Am I an attention whore? If yes, go to 8; If no, go to 9. 7. Yay! There's no thread on this idea yet! By making a new post you will be seen as an innovator. Congratulations, you're on your way to posting excellence! Just be sure to try and reduce typos and fully explain your idea. Some folks are slow on the uptake. 8. Who care that there's already a post on topic! Make your own post! You have a voice and it needs to be heard! Plus, people will like you more! Go to 4. 9. Should you reply to the other thread with your own well-thought out and well-reasoned opinion or a smilie-only response? If well-reasoned, go to 10, If smilie only, go to 4. 10. Yay! You have meaningfully contributed to Redskins discussion! You should probably print that out and post it near your computer. As for what potential trade value Ramsey has, I suspect there are a number of organizations that believe Ramsey's underperformance has as much to do with the Redskins organization than the deficiencies in Ramsey's game. As such, I suspect that some organization would be willing to part with a 3rd rounder for him. If the market is right, the Skins might even be able to pull a 2nd rounder for him.
