Make your call NOW - Ramsey or Brunell on MNF?

E-Dog Night

Me thinks Ramsey is the starter already for Monday Night in Joes mind. He was protecting him yesterday after that illegal hit and let Brunell finish the game because honestly, we really did not need to score alot of points yesterday to win. I believe that if we were down by 14 at the half you would have seen Ramsey back in the game. Gibbs will hold the decision on who is our starter at center as long as possible and blame it on injury because he knows how much that messes with opposing Defenses trying to game plan for your offense. Patrick will start on Monday night...we will get the announcment on Monday at 8:59 pm.

Look Ramsey is never going to get better if he isn't allowed to make mistakes and play through them. He hasn't had a season that looks terrible compared to any starting QB while developing, yet he is constantly yanked and not allowed to develope. Just let him fire the damn ball and make his mistakes, you can't have it any other way.

Maybe just maybe if we had some faith in our players to win, instead of asking them not to lose, we'd see some improvement. We'll never make the playoffs trying to win every game 13-10."

well....maybe...just maybe...that's not Joe Gibbs' concept for how he wants to run HIS offense.

Play the kid but keep him on a short string. give him 3-4 games and if he can't lead the team this aint no nursery school. move on to the next candidate.

Exactly. Since when does a team go a whole season without throwing an interception??? Some of these arguments for Brunell go beyond ridiculous into the realm of lunacy.

You have to spend money to make money. You have to takes risks to make big plays. That is todays NFL. Gibbs knows this, and he's willing to walk the fine line. Fumbles are costly and won't be tolorated, but interceptions are bound to happen and go with the territory of going verticle with the offense.

I say start Ramsey, if he stinks up the field against Dallas, then the Skins have a bye week to decide if Brunell should be starter. Ramsey has the better arm, and Dallas can be beaten deep, so I hope Ramsey is in there(as long as the o-line doesn't let him get knocked down too much)...

Ramsey will start, but I personally think it should be Brunell.

What did Brunell do yesterday but hand the ball off to Clinton Portis? People realize this interceptions happen. The great Brett Farve (who is one of my favorite QBs) throws picks non stop, but no one cares. When Pat does it, it's the end of the world. Pat moved the ball down the field. He fumbled because of a illegal hit. Brunell played against second team defenses in the preseason. It's Pat's time, give him a chance. Brunell had his chance last year and fail miserably. Brunell hasn't done anything in my opinion to warrant a second chance!!!

It's gotta be Ramsey.

We truly need to find out what this kid is made of. Monday night against Dallas is an ideal situation to gauge whether Ramsey has what it takes to be a good quarterback in this league.

The Skins have jerked Ramsey around for years. It's time to let the kid play and figure out if he's worth anything.

If Gibbs is going with Brunell on Monday, he is playing not to lose. And if I recall, you play to win in order to win.

Yes, Ramsey had that early interception, but he was bouncing back from it much like he was against the Steelers in the 3rd preseason game. He remained poised and led the offense continually down the field after that early pick by Pittsburgh. It's a shame Ramsey got decapitated, because if he played like he did against the Steelers after the initial jitters, he could have ended the QB controversy for good.

I'm pretty sure if Ramsey just handed the ball to Portis and throw 3 yard checkdowns/screens for 3 quarters like Brunell, he wouldn't make many mistakes either.

I'm pretty shocked that some of you thought that Brunell was adequate in that game. The guy had like 2 passes above 10 yards. And he had plenty of attempts downfield but was overthrowing or underthrowing almost every single one of them. The Cooley pass at the 1 yard line? If Brunell hit Cooley anywhere near the numbers, it would have been an automatic touchdown. But Brunell screwed up an easy short pass and Cooley had to reach down and catch the ball at his feet, at the 1 yard line.

The Skins generated only 6 points with Brunell in. 1 of those field goals was because of a defensive pass interference, not because of anything the offense did. It would have been the Bears winning 7-6.

Santana Moss is basically wasted with Brunell on the field. Opposing defenses will just put 8 in the box again like last year, and we all know how that story goes.

I'm not saying Ramsey inspires loads of confidence either, but with John Hall injured, we're gonna need to score touchdowns against Dallas, and Brunell won't give you that.

And I don't know about you, but I'm tired of losing to Dallas.

Brunell will start. The injury is the excuse that Gibbs was looking for to get Ramsey out of there. He feels much more comfortable with Brunell. Did you hear his praise of Brunell after the game?!

I strongly doubt this is the case. This injury is mild. Brunell didn't play well enough to justify replacing a healthy Ramsey and its obvious to everyone. If Gibbs is looking for an opportunity to get Ramsey out, this isn't it.

Did anyone see the game last night?? Indi vs. Baltimore? Peyton throws what should have been an easy INT for a 105 yard touchdown going the other way. Plus he missed a wide open Marvin for an easy 6 points. Now I am not comparing PR to Peyton. I am just saying that INT will happen to everyone. PR deserves a chance. Just think if Indi had pulled Peyton that first year halfway through the year. PR will never be as good as Peyton but let's give him a break.

It's a tough decision considering who were playing -- the Cowboys are going to blitz like crazy if Ramsey's in. Maybe he makes them pay, but he still seems to really struggle when he's forced to make a hot read --- Orton showed more in that department yesterday than Ramsey ever has.

I think Joe needs to give Ramsey every opportunity to succeed. And that means not pulling him because of an interception. QB's have to be allowed to play. If he has to worry about throwing an interception, he'll never develop into a good QB. It's a shame he didn't get to stay in the game. One good game will stop this nonsense about Brunell.

Skins 24 Cowboys 14

Let's prepare ourselves for the ugly coming truth. Gibbs will start Brunell. Ramsey is done in DC. This season and next season are shot. Maybe in 2 years Campbell will be ready to play and we can start building something. :(

Love your confidence...keep up the support...
