skinned alive
as much as i'd like to see ramsey start again, he'll probably go with brunell.
TheGreek1973
Let me ask you guys something that voted for Brunell. Say he starts him and he sucks. Not as much as last year but we have two burners at wideout that are 10yards down field before Brunell drops back. What do you what to do go back to Ramsey after his confidence if shot? Or maybe Cambell the rookie. I think if Gibbs goes with Brunell when Ramsey is healthy it would be the biggest mistake he has done since returning because he will not be able to backout of easy of this decision. Lowghost
I think PR should start if he isn't suffering ill effects from that hit. :2cents:
coachreiter
Brunell tripped over a blocker, it was not his own feet. I feel a lot more comfortable with Mark than Patrick on Monday night. Mark is somewhat limited, but I am sure PR gives up at least one intercept, probably more in between a few nice passes. We can't deal with the turnovers. Skins24
Ramsey didn't do anything to lose the job. Brunell didn't do anything to win the job. So it remains Ramsey's job. Period.
Henry
Ramsey. Brunell isn't going to get any better that he is right now, which is a guy that won't make mistakes on the way to 9 points. Ramsey not only has the ability to go long, but he also has the potential to improve, and if we want our offense to be effective at all this year we HAVE to have better than we had yesterday. Brunell can't give us that.
manichispanic
Brunell + Campbell + The Fridge < Your Mom  Seriously, your post makes no sense whatsoever. i think its a good move. Brunell + Campell means to put Jason Campbell on the shoulders of Mark Brunell and to have the duo on the field. Mark makes the decisions, Campbell throws. Its the ultimate weapon.
Sammy Baugh
You gotta let Ramsey develop under Joe and his coaches. If the O line and the receivers do their job and Ramsey has not improved by mid season, then you have to think "thats it" for him. :dallasuck

Precisely what I've been preaching for a couple of months now. Gibbs is looking to bring stability to the QB position. If he switches to Brunell now, there is no going back to Ramsey. Ramsey will start. :applause:
scruffylookin
Ramsey should start and I believe will start. Gibbs has said nothing to indicate that Patrick will not be his man this week. The only hesitation he showed yesterday when asked about next week, was with regards to Patrick's health. Patrick may have been "cleared" to play, but it appears Gibbs was not sold on it and didn't want to take a chance if Patrick was still woozy or further hurt himself with another hit. The media...surprise surprise.....is now running with a "quarterback controversey" angle that simply does not exist. Once Gibbs gets the all clear, and sees for himself at practice that Patrick is okay, Patrick will get the go-ahead. Now if I'm wrong and the mediots are right and Gibbs is using this "injury" as an excuse to reinsert Brunell, then that's a horrible message to send to the team and you might as well but JC in at #2 on the depth chart now because Patrick's shaky confidence will be gone forever with this team. I'd rather start Patrick and if by injury or lousy play he needs to be replaced, bring in Mark Brunell then have it the other way around. I think Brunell can handle sitting on the bench better than Patrick at this point. I trust Joe Gibbs and I trust that when he said Patrick Ramsey is the starter of this football team, he meant it. Every other team in the league that isn't afraid to throw the ball deals with turnovers. So why can't we? Look Ramsey is never going to get better if he isn't allowed to make mistakes and play through them. He hasn't had a season that looks terrible compared to any starting QB while developing, yet he is constantly yanked and not allowed to develope. Just let him fire the damn ball and make his mistakes, you can't have it any other way. Maybe just maybe if we had some faith in our players to win, instead of asking them not to lose, we'd see some improvement. We'll never make the playoffs trying to win every game 13-10. Since when does a team go a whole season without throwing an interception??? Some of these arguments for Brunell go beyond ridiculous into the realm of lunacy. Waleo32
I'm sick of this whole situation. I am under the realization that Joe Gibbs is a sick old man. If he even thinks of playing Mark Brunell, then we all need to send him to a retirement home. What did Mark Brunell do that was so special yesterday. Patrick Ramsey moved the team, he really scored the only touchdown of the game, and was hitting Moss in stride. Now what did Mark do, ummmmm hand the ball off to Clinton Portis that's it. But Mark played excellent right . Ramsey threw one dumb pick, but the word on the street was someone ran the wrong route. Damn I know Brunell saved his life, but when will Joe become fair. Ramsey got clotheslined for the team. He got killed by Spurrier for the team, and he has sacrificed his health for the team. But Joe likes to mess with him. I love Joe, but he's treating Patrick like garbage.

MartinC
I think if Ramsey gets a 100% clean bill of health and can practice all week he will getthe nod. If there is any doubt Gibbs will use it as the excuse to go with Brunell who he just feels more comfortable with. The problem with that is that if he does go with Brunell and he either flops of gets hurt the little confidence Ramsey might have will be shot. In that scenario (Brunell getting the nod) we might as well try to trade Ramsey now and get something for him and go with the rookie behind Brunell. I'm still pulling for Ramsey - he hasthe ability to be a good QB in the NFL. HTTR

TheDoyler23
if one more person calls mark scott im going to kill somone Pretty strong words for your second post. I think Ramsey deserves to start on MNF. He IS the starter afterall. If Brunell had lit it up then it would be a different story.
