OK guys, kind of a tradition around here, what type of spead are you putting out for the first game of the season?

Myself, I'm slow cooking two 8 to 10 pound Beef Briskets and a whole crock pot of chili. Meaty and spicy, just the way I like it!

I'll also be serving up a platter stuffed with cheddar cheese sliced thinly with some summer sausage accompanied with some baby carrots and celery with some sour cream dip.

For drinks, I'll begin around 10:00 AM (the only day of the year I do this) with some Crown Royal on the rocks. I'll also have some beer iced down for company.

There's nothing better than week one of the NFL season!!!!!!

Enjoy guys, thanks for sharing the offseason and stay safe.

Bill

Bear Meat Loaf

3 lbs ground bear meat 1 lb ground beef (fatty)

3 cans Campbell's French onion soup

3 eggs

1 1/2 cups of bread crumbs

1 can mushrooms 8 oz or larger

1/4 cup ketchup

garlic powder (to taste)

black pepper (to taste)

This recipe is very simple heck I invented it so how hard can it be.

First drain the broth out of 2 cans of the French onion soup and set aside. Next put the other ingredients (except 3rd can of soup) into a mixing bowl. Add the onions from the two cans of soup and mix well.

Put into roasting pan and pour broth and the third can of onion soup over top. Set oven at 350 degrees and cook for 2 1/2 hours or until done.

Make sure that the meat is thoroughly cooked.

Starting off with chips and homemade salsa followed by spicy sausage, red & green peppers, onions, all on a potato hogie roll and finishing with double stuffed oreos. Ice Cold Sam Adams will be readily available!!

It's finally time to get it on baby!!!

Oh man, I must be an alcoholic. I thought I read "Beer" meat loaf and was scanning your recipie for when you add the beer. It never came and I was a little ticked off!

I'm going simple, for the 1st tailgate, as I want to hang with the DTC, and stop by to check out the Extremeskins tailgate too....no, (gasp!) grilling at this one.

Devilled Eggs....(Mrs. Skinsfan1311 makes the best ones)

Crab Cakes......(We make 'em up the night before and fry 'em on my camp stove)

Fresh tomatoes, salads, chips, etc

Case of Pilsner Urquell...(Raub is spot on when he says life is too short for cheap beer!)

Makers Mark

Stop by, Blue Lot #8....we'll be in the first row, on the right with a canopy set up...Black Hyndai Santa Fe...w/the Redskins flags on the Window...plenty of beer and Makers for all....I can't wait!!!!

Okay. It's gameday now. What the hell? I'll bring this back. Chili. Big batch of it with torilla's on the side. Mabe some cornbread. Er. Will have beans in it too. Don't tell Blondie.

Speaking of which, I better get off my butt and start cooking.
