jkam
Just got this email from the Redskins "There are a limited number of tickets available, including partial view Lower Level, for Sunday's season opener against the Bears (game time is 1 pm). Ticket prices start at just $49 per seat! To order your tickets, call the Redskins Ticket Office at (301) 276-6050. Hurry! Call now before tickets are sold out! Also, check out the new Redskins.com and our daily videos on Redskins.com TV." I suspect that the vaunted waiting list is not as long as advertised. Any thoughts? ZkinsFan
It is a sellout, always has been and will. Those tickets are the tickets that media and players, other vip's will not use. the sale happens at EVERY game a day or so before. But sorry it got u hopes up, but it continues to be sold out. RDSCNZ20
its sold out.. but those are tickets that either players gave back or chicago. i think the opposing team gets a certain amount of tickets for the game..
jwebst1
got the same email and it's disheartening.... there may be some tickets that the Bears returned, because I bought tickets like that prior to becomming a ticket holder, but most of those seats in the email are the obstructed ones... and for 49 bucks, I guarantee it. Email shouldn't even be going out because they never should have been built in the first place
jkam
Don't worry about me, I'll be there in Sec 124, but I just thought it was interesting.
xanathos19
No way you can get tix by simply calling the Box Office for an opening day game two days before-hand...if FedEx isn't hopping, something is wrong.
Paydirt
I got the same e-mail. They were selling obstructed view seats, but they were also selling Section 436 tickets for $79. I told my buddy who was looking to go to the game, and he called in and bought some.
OVCChairman
I'll be there, got season tix myself, but that is pretty interesting the fact that they say that it's still like a 6 year wait list....

RedskinzOwnU
I don't think it should come as a surprise to anyone that the "partially obstructed view seats" are not sold out. I'd much rather watch the game on a TV than behind a pillar blocking half the field.
Duckus
I thought Snyder said in the offical chat that any tickets that they take away from large illegal scalping rings, they would then turn around and sell to the season tickets waitlist. Maybe that is how some of these tickets are being sold.
hail2skins
They were trying to sell season-tickets for those obstructed view seats at the preseason games. I know that the premium seats are not counted for the sellout stats, but I wonder if those obstructed view ones are?

I told my buddy who was looking to go to the game, and he called in and bought some. so they haven't even sold out general admission tickets in the upper deck? I knew it....... there won't even be a wait list in 2 years..... UNLESS THE TEAM STARTS WINNING
TriangleSkinsFan
Wow another Hillsborough, NC Skins fan.... Unlikely to say the least Do you have the Sunday ticket? I need to get game recordings. The panthers get all of the tv around here.
SonnyandSam
Didn't you read any of the posts? The NFL requires every home team to reserve a certain number of seats for the visiting team....for their families, etc. Those not used by the visiting team are returned to the home team to sell. I've gotten these emails for years....usually before games with teams that we seldom play, are far away, or have no rivalry, i.e. the emails never show up prior to games with Dallas, Philly, NY Giants or Jets, Pittsburgh, etc. I can always count on an email when playing a west coast team. They are NOT season tickets going unsold.
