TheDane
That was awesome. Wow. Great job mods and owners and great questions from all. Now if only people would listen to the true insiders like Snyder, Gibbs, Swanson, and Cerrato, and not to the media, we'd be all set...
hail2thegibb
I must say that whoever selected the questions for Danny Boy did a horible job. He kept on putting up questions about the jumbotron, PA system, port-a-poties and the walking distance to the stadium. He answered the jumbotron question like 3 times!!! Who the hell cares about that???? I wanted to see questions like. Did you tell Coles you'd send him a TV to watch the game from the locker room? (My personal fav) Why did we roll over and take that huge cap hit for him?? Why did we give up so much to get rid of Chump?? Does he hate the Cowboys as much as us?? And if your gonna ask questions about the stadium why not ask this one? One that I hear people talking about in the parking lot everytime I've been to a game. Why not build a half roof to hold in the noise?? I'm sorry but I tend to believe that there were much better thought out questions submitted by the fans then what got through. I selected the questions, and despite your thoughts as to what was asked, the questions selected were directly those of fans and intended to capture the majority viewpoint on many issues. When you ask who cares about the JumboTron, the fact is, most of the fans asking do. I had to reflect that in the questions. No one asked about whether Snyder hated Dallas as much as we did, or the roof question. The Coles questions I almost got to, but, honestly, may have removed anyway as Snyder didn't have the decision there, Gibbs did. But, as I understand it, the television thing did happen, though I'll try to confirm. I was stunned no one asked about his charitable efforts after Katrina or Dallas or a number of things. But, this was a fan chat. I pretty much hit every topic asked except the Coles one, which came late. All of the questions asked are in the Press Box forum for you to read. You can see those I had to pick from. I only regret missing some of Todd's stuff.
AJ_Skins
As far as season tickets, I've seen a setup before where an ID card of sorts is issued along with the tickets, and has to be presented with the tickets to gain admittance. That allows people to share their seats with people they trust and know they can get the card back from, but discourages scalping. There may be a number of issues with the game-day experience, but in my opinion, the large numbers of opposing fans is by far the biggest. There has to be a solution, because the crowd you get in the stadium may be quantity, but it's not quality (meaning actual supporters of the team). Even Danny made comment. Dan Snyder We need a new system. As I said before, we're looking hard at that because the system we inherited is analog. It's something we're all frustrated by. I guess I was just looking for more pressing questions. Ones he had to answer. The more difficult questions that's all

I think the problem might be that the stadium might be too big. It makes it easier for the enemy to get tickets.

I kept five or six total stadium, fan experience questions in because they were the biggest area fans were asking about when the questions were put together. But, I do appreciate your feedback. I couldn't believe some of the areas people missed . With hope you can ask some of those questions in upcoming chats .
AJ_Skins
Incredible. We have the best owner in sports. How can you not love this man? I like his answers about the media, which I think are dead-on. There is no question he's made some massive errors in the past, but I think having Joe Gibbs involved (remember, he's not just a coach, he's an owner himself now in NASCAR) is a real reason for hope. It sounds like Snyder is paying attention to the way he does things, and that is huge. I hope Coach Gibbs coaches past his current contract, and I hope he stays involved with the team after he steps away from coaching, but even if/when he does leave, if Snyder can adopt his apporach to dealing with an organization, it will be a big help. Good also that Snyder now seems to realize that successful organizations take time to build, and can't be forced into instant existence with money and intensity. More than anything else, he almost sounds humble. That's a big change.

big z
Mr. Snyder, I needed to ask you something that has been on my mind for quite some time. Obviously you are the man and have the power to do as you please, when you please. It's just that I hate ties. When my previous job did away from the 'professional w/tie' dress to business casual, it was a Godsend. Do you just feel comfortable in suits? If I was a man in your position, I'd be kicking back...jeans, Redskins Tee, beer in hand...and more in the cooler besides me. Gimme the 411 Mr. Snyder, if you please. And BIG THANKS FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE SINCE HIRING JOE GIBBS. Thanks. Keep up the awesome work. I still want a GM, but i'm willing to give it ONE MORE YEAR to reach 10-6 or whatever as long as our Skins make the Playoffs. Goodluck, Goodhealth, and Godbless. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! Tarhog
I tell you what I'm proud of. When this merger occured, we heard a lot of guys talking about how we'd lose our objectivity, how the site would be 'censored', how the community feel here would be lost forever, and how we had 'sold out' and that no one beyond the ownership here would benefit. I hope the naysayers are getting it now. No ones being censored, not even in chats with Daniel Snyder. We've got unprecedented access. On the field at games, in the locker room, at Redskins events, and with players, coaches, and front office personnel. We're doing everything we can to bring you guys along for the ride. Some of you got your personal questions for Daniel Snyder answered today. How cool is that? Pretty damn cool. And I'm proud of the questions you guys asked Mr. Snyder. I hope many of you noticed that we didn't shy away from the tough ones - we asked them on your behalf, and to his great credit, Mr. Snyder did his best to answer them. And if someone wants a chat with those responsible for your fan experience at FedEx Field.....guess what....we can make THAT happen too!
Jimbo
I think this chat was a NO BRAINER situation for Dan. What better way to counter some of the negative media criticism/bias than go directly to the fans? This is the kind of access even the media can't get anymore. Talking directly to the fans will help him win back a lot of support. Giving us names to take questions/problems to was HUGE in bridging some gaps with the Fan Experience. Art, two questions. Did he have any of these questions in advance or were they all asked and answered during the chat? If during the chat, did he seem to have anybody with him to consult with or did every answer come quickly and decisively?

AzSkinsFan63
I've always been behind Snyder. In every aquisition I knew what he was thinking..In hindsight well I can see the mistakes. He always gets an A+ in my book. he fired a completely inept HC in Norville Eugene Turner who had 7 years here..Period! that's all he's guilty of and it was the right move no matter what the win loss record has been.......I'd rather lose with Marty,Spurrier and Joe Gibbs than win with Turner.(not that that was ever going to happen).
