flyingtiger1013
http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/09/08/D8CGAHQO1.html It's Bush's fault!!!! NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. Tropical Storm Ophelia strengthened into a hurricane as it stalled 70 miles off the northeast Florida coast Thursday, churning waves that caused beach erosion and drenching Kennedy Space Center. Thursday evening, Ophelia had top sustained winds of 75 mph, just over the threshold to be classified a hurricane, forecasters at the National Hurricane Center said. But forecasters said it was still unclear where Ophelia was headed.
Larry
It's clearly Bush's fault. Where's the National Guard? Find all the school busses.
BlueTalon
Well, I have a vested interest in the outcome of this. The Seahawks play the Jaguars in Jacksonville, and it would mess up our passing game if a hurricane moves in on Sunday.

Most of us residents could give a rats arse about the Jags game Sunday. Don't mean to jump ya, but us folks from Fl went through a hell of a hurricane season last year. Oh, and good luck this season
wskin44
They are projecting that Ophelia will head north. It may never hit land or if it does it would be South or North Carolina, or my house in va beach. I'm sure that all of the government agencies involved have a plan and will save us. unless they are busy doing something else.

Oh, and good luck this season Thanks for the well-wishes. FYI, I said what I said because the prediction is that it won't hit FL. At least, not until after it does some weird curly-Q they're talking about, and maybe not even then.
Cskin
I'm betting Jeb doesn't have his panties in a wad or slumped in a corner sobbing incoherently about the approaching hurricane... unlike Mrs. Blanco.

I'm going to assume that, in the words of Mr. Spock, that "I exagerated". (In response to the challenge "You lied!") And that I just missed the [humor] tags. Larry
I'm looking at the forcast trach at NOAA. They show it slowly paralleling the coast untill about Tuesday. And then looping around and acting like it might be heading to Florida. (Or someplace else. Hurricane predictions seem to be pretty good for 1-2 days, but utterly useless for a week from now.)
