jonjeff
......we go. With all the predictions flying around for the upcoming weekend, the only one that concerns me is Patrick Ramsey. With all this kid has been through in his short NFL career, he deserves sucess. He deserves to have a great season and lead the Redskins to the playoffs. He deserves to put all the naysayers to bed once and for all. I'm sick of reading all the negative press surrounding Ramsey and the Skins. 4-12, 5-11, last place in the NFC East, 29th ranked team in the NFL. It's time for Ramsey to take the bull by the horns and prove everybody wrong. It starts this weekend against Chicago. The Bears are a solid defensive squard that will test Ramsey and the Redskin offense. The key to this one, and most every game, is to win the turnover battle. If the Skins are turnover free, I see an easy victory. If not, it will be a nailbitter down to the end. What do I see. I see Ramsey having one of his better days in a Redskin uniform and staying away from the turnovers he had in the preseason. It's Pat's time. He has to step up to the plate and hit a homerun, although I'll take a triple! Redskins-24 Bears-

jowille
I like patrick, but i think he is still a little shell shocked from the spurrier system, if he can settle down, plant his feet and make good decisions and throws Patrick will succeed.... If that doesn't work, bring on Brunell!

I admit that I do sympathize with his situation under Spurrier. However, the only thing he deserves is the right to start. Success is never deserving, it's earned. And I hope he earns it this year. Earthcat
I'm hearing alot of 10-6 predictions, the guys on podcast Skinny on Skins for a couple more. I don't see it with "happy feet" Ramsey.
KingGibbs
Well, everybody in the NFL is going to blitz up the middle which always seems to rattle Patrick. I would like to see them roll him out of the pocket and you will see a much improved Patrick. And yes, as Patrick goes, we go.
Gregpeck99
If PR can read the obvious blitz and avoid getting rattled ... a big if ... he should have a decent game ... say 2 or 3tds and 300 yds. Skins 27 ... Bears 10.
bulldog
there really aren't any excuses in 2005. this is year 2 in the same system. the offensive line is stronger. the backs are fine. the receivers have good hands and have better than average speed. and the defense is solid. the other asset this team will have is a healthy John Hall. Ramsey can throw the ball away at the 30 or 35 and the team can still come away with points. No need to throw the ball into coverages or take too many chances. Grumpy Vet
He has one more year left in his contract after this year??? I see this as is final shot for Mr. Ramsey. Offensive line is good. RB is good. WR are..we'll see - but brought in to accommodate his arm and downfield play. Coach has settled in after his hiatus. If PR friggs this up. It is his doing. Nobody else. No excuses. I'd like to see him succeed.

I agree.... This is a make or break season for him. Our D will keep us in all games - it is up to PR and the O not to loose the game for us. I think PR will rise to the challenge. :logo:
authentic
you know when i look at this team i see a team that has all of the pieces (a great defense, much improved offensive line, all pro running back, and legendary coaching staff).. so right now, Ramsey is the final link to the playoff chain..
