Worse Commentator Ever

>>Spearhead>>

Recommended Posts

Now that the season is upon us, the 'skins can finally shut all of these naysayers up. Unfortunately, now in addition to writers, we get to cringe at some of the network's 'finest' morons call our games(I miss you Frank Herzog!!!)

The list can be endlist and I am sure I have forgotten a few but who takes the cake? This is multiple choice as there are multiple morons on this list.....

:logo:

Please forgive any spelling butchering

Will McDonough is no longer with us, so you might want to take his name, and your shot at his skin quality, off of the list.

Oh, and no one is worse than Paul McGuire. Look at me giving it to McGuire? Did you see that? Watch this! McGuire sucks. Wow.

The worst all-time has to be Jerry Glanville. I couldn't watch a game for more than 5 minutes if he was doing it. Worst on tv now is probably Paul Maquire, he makes comments then gets proved wrong by the replay constantly.

Maas is in a class all by himself. Wearing a "Dunce" cap. Writing, "I will not be a total freaking moron on national T.V." 100 times on the chalkboard. What he knows about football could fit in a thimble with room left over for his thumb. Every time he speaks our national IQ drops. Other than that, a very likable guy.

My vote is for Jerry Glanville, who wasn't on the list.

Also, the entire ESPN crew sucks. If you listen to them, every play is like the greatest thing they ever saw, and they talk about every player like they are hall of famers.

The worst for that is Maguire. I can hear his voice now saying something like

"Look at this folks, this is just amazing. (cue slow motion teletype replay) You see this move here, let me tell you there aren't many Running Backs in the league with moves like that (as he's refering to Curits Enos). "I mean, look at that speed and power," as he gets run down by Sean Gilbert, and tackled by Deion Sanders.

They are just completely clueless.

BTW, Sorry Joe, but your partners completely suck.

You beat me to it!! Glanville was awful!! On a side note, remember when he wrecked his nascar? Anyways, the whole ESPN crew is pretty horrible as well, all they do is verbally fondle the player of their choice for that game (especially Michael Vick)

Another name for the list:

O.J. Simpson was in the MNF booth for about a year - I believe he replaced Don Meridith. He left to make a killing in LA

I kinda like Joey T., though I wish he would stop saying "opportunity" 500 times a game. Examples: "When Michael Vick gets out of the pocket, he has an opportunity to make a big play"; "When the Colts go to the locker room at halftime, Payton Manning has an opportunity to take a dump"; etc. etc.

Maas and his ilk are the worst.

I'm tired of Madden.....but I admit that it could be because the Skins have not been contenders for so long and Madden is at his best when he goes ga ga over your team.

I like Aikman.........I know...... someone shoot me now. ;)

I know, I hate to admit it too, but Aikman is actually a really good commentater, he's very professional and I've never noticed him showing any bias.

I'll go with Randy Cross.

By the way, why are they called commentators instead of commentors? After all they comment on the game not commentate. (Note: I did look it up and I know commentate is in the dictionary, but only because it was backwards derived from the word commentator, so only consider it a real word in the sense that irregardless is a real word; that is it's in the dictionary but really shouldn't be a word) So what gives?
