bulldog
most teams seem pretty set on their lineups for the opener and yet we have the Cowboys making two fairly high profile moves in acquiring Peerless Price and Scott Fujita. the fact the Patriots, Eagles and Steelers were all teams seemingly in search of additional depth at WR, is anyone surprised that none of these teams showed any interest in Price? Is Parcells just looking to round things out are are there bigger holes than we thought?

Blade
in a 4 WR Set, I could see Price making toast of Jimoh.... although that is not so much of a knock against Jimoh as it is against anyone who is the #4 CB for a team. I cant knock the Pokes for getting Price considering their depth. It just makes me glad to have Thrash and Jacobs instead of him.
China
Well the Eagles chose McCants to shore up their receiving corps. They seem to like bigger receivers. So I'm only mildly surpised they didn't bring in Price to look at. Excuse my ignorance, but who is Scott Fujita? Edit: BTW, I just went to NFL.com and they don't have Peerless Price on their player list either under alphabetical or WR listings. Seems odd (maybe they're updating his page?). Can anybody confirm this?

THEHEREAFTER
Skins fans are neeerrrvvoooussss and it shows sooooooo bad it's funny. There's no downside to signing a great receiver like Price to a 1 year deal to add depth and speed. This is a receiver who caught 94 balls for 1252 and 9 td's w/ Bledsoe. Not bad as your 3rd/4rth receiver. Desperation? How bout a great pick up before the season w/o having to give up a player or draft pick. We picked up Charles Haley in simular fashion prior to the 92 season. RabidFan
Price is a nice addition for sure...he's no #1 or gamebreaker but is solid and won't have to be that for Dallas....of course until Glenn goes down in the first three weeks....its such a shame that Glenn and Galloway have always been injuring prone with their speed and talent they have. Dallas did well with these two pickups...remember how the mediots stated Dallas would be in the playoffs without these guys...maybe now they will be picked as peers to the Eagles. Dallas has so many personnel changes, they'll be lucky to be competitive this season. And the Redskins love to play against 3-4 defenses. Like Philly, last minute acquisitions as skill positions point to weaknesses at those spots.
Eagles_Legendz
The Eagles were very interested in Price. No they weren't. Reports had Price calling the Eagles, and was actually upset that they weren't as seriously interested as he expected. Regardless, I think it's still a good pickup for Dallas. Ken
Why is it surprising that he was upset? You guys have a glaring need at WR and you pass on a good player. Go figure. So you sign a guy who has done next to nothing in the league and is waived by the Redskins of all teams.(no offense) I mean, don't take this the wrong way, but, the Eagles are great at a lot of things, evaluating WR talent isn't one of them. Walking Deadman
Price may or may not be a big pick up for Dallas....you guys already have a pretty solid WR corp, and again it all comes down to whether the O-line can keep Bledsoe protected. We knoe Bledsoe has a arm and that the WR corp has plenty of players to get open. Price just adds more variety and depth..... Fujita has potential to be the bigger move. He's quick, has good hands and is a solid tackler. Health may be his biggest issue and whether he hasn't lost some ability after his last injury. SonnyandSam
This is an excellent pickup for the cowgirls. Price was exceptionally effective as a #2 receiver in Buffalo. With a poor passing QB in Atlanta, Price showed he may not be a #1 receiver. He can beat #2 and #3 cornerbacks. If Glenn and Johnson can draw the primary attention of defenses, Price can have a huge year. As a #3 or #4 receiver, Price is a steal. But of course, I have to add... :dallasuck
NoCalMike
Seems to me that the Cowboys are desperate to do anything that will ease pressure on Bledsoe. First the excuse was "Well Bledsoe was decent under Parcells before" Now it is "Well Bledsoe and Price had a good chemistry between them" Cowboys fans are seriously trying any excuse to overlook the horrendous preseason Bledsoe had(besides a single scoring drive against Jacksonville backups on defense) You can surround Bledsoe with whoever you want, but Bledsoe is still Bledsoe. He will put up fantasy points, but will never make the important throws with the game on the line.
flashback
I think Price is the insurance in case Glenn misses extended time again this year. We really didn't have anybody to get down the field last year after Glenn went down. Morgan gave it shot, but it didn't really do much for the offence. Crayton is a very good all around WR, but definitely not the deep threat that Glenn and Price are. I wonder what we're doing with Morgan? The guy I'm waiting for the Cowboys to move on without is Keyshawn. Sorry, I know he had 90 catches last year, but Vinny must have thrown at him 120 times, and I bet 10 of those were picked off. The guy plays hard, knows how to get position and make the catch, but he gets zero separation, and nothing after the catch. I think with Crayton, Price and if they keep Morgan in the fold, and the fact that Bledsoe doesn't trust Keyshawn the way Vinny did, Keyshawn might see his catches cut in half this year. And if he has a problem with that, I hope Parcell's tells him not to let the door hit his ass on the way out.

That has what exactly to do with what I said? I was commenting on the fact that Price had interest in the Eagles, not vice-versa. I don't believe I elaborated any further than that. If you want to talk about it though, you'll be happy to find out the Eagles are quite pleased with their first three WRs, and don't want to keep Greg Lewis off the field. What they were looking for was an upgrade in regards to depth. They wanted to upgrade the 4th WR, and acquire a WR with upside. McCants fits the bill. Would Price want to be the 4th WR? I think not. Hence, they added McCants.

I was merely backing up why the guy was upset. He clearly sees himself better than all of your WRs except for TO. Calls and offers his services and is rejected. Obviously, If I thought I could clearly help your team and you reject me, I would be upset too. I then went on to say that the Eagles passed on a good wr to sign a bad one. That has been their recent history, aside from TO.

The Eagles haven't brought in WRs other than Owens, so I wouldn't say that is their MO, but they obviously struggle drafting them. That being said, I can honestly say I'd rather have Greg Lewis than Peerless Price this year, so we obviously disagree on this.
