dks1240
Saw this on a website and thought i'd share with everyone since it seems pretty common for people to drink heavily, go to bed, and wake up and drive around the next morning. just thought it was interesting, i know you wake up still drunk the next morning but ididnt think the effects lasted this long... What are the alcohol effects? Think you'll just sleep it off? Think again! After a night of drinking, the alcohol effects last longer than you might think. You and your friends have decided to have a few drinks after work to ease the tension. You've been drinking since 6:00 p.m. and it's now 1:00 a.m. So, by now you already have a good idea of the way alcohol affects your motor skills, but are you aware of the blood alcohol levels? After the designated driver has driven you home, you fall into bed at 2:00 a.m., intoxicated with an alcohol concentration of .190 (.08 is now legally intoxicated as determined by the federal government and most states). Since alcohol leaves the blood at .015 per hour, let's see the blood alcohol effects over the next ten hours... Time BAC* 2:00 a.m. You get into bed, the room is spinning. .190 3:00 a.m. Sleeping .175 4:00 a.m. You wake up with a pounding headache, find the bathroom and take aspirin. .160 5:00 a.m. Sleeping. .145 6:00 a.m. Alarm startles you awake. Reluctantly, you get up for work. .130 7:00 a.m. You leave for work, wondering why the keys won't fit the lock. .115 8:00 a.m. You've miraculously made it to work, but you're still legally intoxicated! .10 10:00 a.m. You leave for an appointment and could still be arrested for "driving under the influence." .07 12:00 p.m. Still under the influence. .04 *Blood Alcohol Concentration (Information is based on a 170lb. average man)

iheartskins
Yeah, I think we've all woken up still drunk without quite realizing it.
GoCommiesGo
Yeah, I think we've all woken up still drunk without quite realizing it. Then the sneaky hangover comes around noon when the booze goes away and your trying to figure out why your hungover now and not this morning. sumodat
Yeah, I think we've all woken up still drunk without quite realizing it. Why when you wake up drunk, you don't feel good? I hate the feeling of being drunk the next morning. I just feel out of it. Didn't know it would be until 12:00 the next day until you are legal to drive though.
just skins baby
You forgot that part between 2am and 3am when you go throw up $50.00 worth of alcohol and food and then wonder "Where did my paycheck go?"
jbooma
You forgot that part between 2am and 3am when you go throw up $50.00 worth of alcohol and food and then wonder "Where did my paycheck go?" or the part about 5:30 when you get up so you don't have to see who exactly you went home with
The Gibber
Or the part when you wake up the next morning and you have a raging headache, and you know the only thing that can cure it is......another drink and 800 milligrams of ibuprofen. Cracking open a beer at 10:00 in the morning, probably puts a whole other wrinkle in that blood alcohol chart. I know that I am alcoholic, but I am a highly functioning one, at least. halter91
Been there done that. I drove to work one morning after a bad night and I was still bad. I should have called out.
chomerics
Actually, A friend of mine got arrested for DUI TWICE in the same day. He was arrested at 2:30 am. Spent the night in jail, got bailed out at 7:00, got his car and he was pulled over and arrested AGAIN!!! He blew a .23 the first time, then he blew a .10 for the second offense. He actually got off on the second offense, and ended up with just one DUI. Fred Jones
Alcohol leaves your body on average between .015 - .018 per hour depending on the person. Always funny to see people at 2:00 A.M. on a work night drunk getting helped home by a buddy.

Dead Money
I got pulled over once at 7am for something like this and the only reason I got off was that the cop felt sorry for me because " itwas my birthday and I was on my way to meet my grandparents for breakfast." Or going surfing... :whoknows:
Mr. S
haha, lotsa times when I drink, im usually fine in the morning, feeling off though. Then again, I dont really get hammered much. The couple times I have felt it in the morning, I usually still feel good, then around mid-day I feel like sleeping and uneasy.
