Some of you just hate every announcer or commentator out there, I swear.

Michaels: Too boring and stale

Madden: Makes the same old remarks

Theismann: Always shows his homerism

Joe Buck: Plain annoying

Irvin: Has dumb and stupid comments

Chris Berman: "Going all the way"

Seriously.. there is NO perfect person. Just deal with it.

the show was getting old and stale...... You can only work the old stchik so much, and Berman used all his up 5 years ago. they were bad to show selective highlights of certain teams.... and very few positive highlights of others.

not a tragedy

They were the only show that went beyond the basic highlight, which is what I liked a lot. I like to hear TJ talk about what is going on. I agree Chris needs some new lines though :D

The show had grown tired to me. Berman mails it in way too often, Michael Irvin is predictably awful, Steve Young is more boring than tax law, and TJ is just occupies a chair.

I serendipidously got the NFL network about a year ago, and it changed my Sunday evening TV habits anyway.

I wonder who had to journey into the film fault to break the news to Jaws??

wrong... I can't stand Irvin, Maas and Baldinger.... Berman is tired, Stuart Scott overhype.... the rest are Fine... I enjoy the SNF best, and always liked Madden.

I enjoy the show. I'm pretty sure that I will continue to do so until it stops its run. Seems sort of like a biting the hand that feeds you kind of thing. ESPN has covered the NFL for sometime now and I can't help but think that both enjoy their present popularity due to shows like Primetime.

i feel bad for you if you have to depend on espn for skins updates. the only time they show skins highlights is when someone is scoring on us. i even recall for the giant and vikings games (where we won convincingly) they managed to show a nice highlight package for the opposing team. you woulda thought they won if they didn't show the score at the end.

That used to annoy the hell out me. The context in which they show the highlights wasn't always very accurate of how the game actually went. Perfect case in point, was the Minnesota highlightes, where they made it seem the difference of the game was a Moss TD that called back because of a hold, when it had nothing to do with the outcome at all. That paticular play wasn't much unlike a player picking up a "fumble" and running with it even after the ref has already blown the whistle.

I agree completely with your premise. I LOVE NFL football, and really enjoy "most" of the coverage. Berman's Sunday evening show was by far the best highlights show out there. There is NO competition, NO close second. It was entertaining AND gave a great snapshot of every game with extremely insightful commentary. I run a large fantasy football service, have gotten Sunday Ticket since it was first available, watch football all day EVERY Sunday for 17 weeks, and STILL always watch Prime Time. It will be missed.

How can you tell Irvin has stupid comments??

I second what an earlier poster said. I'm really going to miss the music. I couldn't watch the show if the Redskins lost, but it was highly entertaining. I think the NFL is making a HUGE mistake. But, thank goodness Cox Digital Cable airs the NFL Network.

A sports highlight show can't go stale, there's new material EVERY week.

I can't stand Berman and that group of clowns, so this is fine by me.

The NFL Network has rendered this show obsolete anyway.

I enjoyed the show, but I was getting tired of Bermans tired old lines. "He could go all the way" once or twice a week gets tiresom. But it was a great way to get cought up on some fantasy numbers. I won't miss it, but I did enjoy it while it was on.
