E-Dog Night
What on earth does this have to do with the Redskins, you may ask? That's when Kyle Orton will get his initial action against an NFL first team defense. So far, Ortin has looked good...against 2nd & 3rd stringers. I think it will be interesting to see how he fares against a group of starters. It should give us some idea of how he will play against the Skins D in week 1. I case you were wondering (because I know I was) the Browns had the 15th-ranked defense last year, 5th against the pass, LAST against the rush. They intercepted the ball 15 times. Walking Deadman
since it's game 4 of preseason.....we know the Skins starters will be rested. I kinda wonder if Lovie plays the starting O to give Orton (and possibly Benson?) more reps with the 1st team? will be interesting...

I'm guessing he does, but that's a gamble. Let's say the Bears O doesn't fare well against the starting D, and Lovie leaves them in against the Browns' 2nd team defense, and they still don't score. That would not make for a confident bunch heading into FedEx. But I suppose I could wait to see what happens before declaring them dead?

Browns starting D = most other teams 2nd string D. :2cents: I'm not sure this game will tell us much of anything.
Chris 44
O.K. Skins are on at the same time. Someone needs to take one for the team and volunteer to watch the Bears game and give the rest of us the rundown.

Having watched 2 Browns games this preseason I wouldn't exactly call them an NFL first team defense. Just my :2cents:. I will probably watch if I'm not busy though. Yes, I am that desperate for football.
