RDSKNfaithfull
Cooley is a H Back Royal is promising but not proven and behind him we have  I was hoping Baber would show some promise but we now have the worst depth at TE in the league. redman
Ok, you're right. We don't like TE's. Does everyone have to be Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzalez for us to be considered a TE-based scheme?

ntotoro
Robert Johnson beat out Barber I think he punctuated that last weekend. I thought Baber would have been a second-round cut, but (in hindsight) Johnson really did beat him out.

TLusby
We have Sellers, Koz, and potentially White; although, he is primarily backing up at the H-back.
jimster
it appears Sellers is going to be a utility guy doing a little TE, H-back and mostly special teams. They've used Friedman a few times in pre-season lined up at TE in short yardage, Cooley and White are the H-backs and Royal came along nicely at the end of last year catching 6 TD's. - In addition because the coaching staff is updating the offense, I think we will be seeing much less 2 TE sets and more 3 WR sets. ...This also helps to make room for all 4 RB's to make the roster. bulldog
I would not be surprised to see the Redskins sign a veteran TE after the final round of cuts. The variable at TE is Robert Johnson. The guy is an animal physically at 6'5 and 275 and can catch the football. Whether he turns out to be a gem unearthed by the front office or another flash in the pan who knows? But he is intriguing based on his measurables. I expect to see a LOT of him against the Ravens. It will be a good test of his blocking ability. Funkyalligator
gibbs really hasn't been throwing to the TE/H-back position this preseason.....I think there is a reason for that....Ramsey is comfortable with both Royal and Cooley but not so much with Moss and Patten.....so Gibbs is trying to build the rapport between them....Royal and Cooley will do just fine.....and should catch a bunch of balls each...
