pirassi
I am looking to buy tickets to a game this year (specifically Oct 23rd ) and was wondering if anyone who has visited the stadium could recommend a good viewing seat. I realize I could see everything if I sat in sections 400+ but what about the lower sections? Like section 103 is kinda on the 10-20 yard line, and its close to the field, but how much can i see overall? How much of the opposite side of the field is viewable? Is it elevated enough where i can still see what is happening when they are lined up directly in front of me? What about section 337. Its kind of behind the end zone and to the side, but at that angle it seems like i could see almost every hole that the rb runs through, see all the receiver routes etc. But how high and far away is it really? Would i even be able to see without binoculars when they are on the opposite side of the stadium? To me 337 almost seems better than 103. And what does it mean when the tickets are Lower Endzone? Does that mean directly behind the endzone and close to the field as I am suspecting? Those don't seem like great seats at all with the uprights in the way most of the game. PatFischer37
I sit in the end zone up in the club level...despite how it sounds on paper, the endzone gives you a decent perspective on the action. Only is a poor seat when they are playing on the opposite side of the field
Mark The Homer
MHO: I've gone to every game at FedEx, and I've sat all over. If you want to impress a girl, you might consider lower bowl close to the field. They are cool seats, and you can see the players up close. 103 would be fine seats, and the players tunnel is near there. I prefer homeside, because the replays are the same perspective as your seats. Problem is, prices down there are high, and your line of sight sucks, you won't see the play develop very well. But nevertheless, she will be impressed. But if you want to watch football, I'd recommend higher. 200 level might be okay, but beware of seats in rows 15 +, as they may be obstructed. They're under cover starting around row 6, but as you go back, the overhang is low and irritating. But if it rains, you're a genius. I would prefer at least 300 level for good line of sight. 337 would be okay. That's the corner, I believe. I sat in 306, row 19 for three years, which is the other corner. Sidelines would be better, of course, because it brings you closer. Just be ready to spend some bucks, because that's the club level. Try to get row 19 or 18 which is under cover. 400 level is great, if you can get something somewhat low. I'd try to get as close to the 50 as possible, and something at row 15 or below. These are the seats I'd try for first, and that's where I'm sitting today. If you're in the upper endzone nosebleeds, you're about an eighth of a mile from the opposite end of the field, which is really, really far. The distance can be a bit of a challenge. Also the crowd noise is noticeably less way up high, as the cheers get lost in the sky above. So get something low on the sidelines. Good luck! 4thStBully
just a note on the lower endzone... this is my first season in the lower endzone and i love the seats. i sit between the tunnels, the players warm up right in front of me, i can hear the hits, i can see the players faces...when palomalu (sp) scored...he was running directly towards me, same with the bengal who scored, dancing right in front of me. its sweet. the fans are nice and rowdy. the downside is when the players are on the other side of the field HOWEVER it is really not that bad, i dont feel like i am missing much. i can see pretty well, its really no complaints, just anticipating the action coming back my way. i guess what really matters is what row you are in. i sit in row 4 so i am right at the field. if i was in row 20 maybe a corner view would be more attractive. regardless of where you choose to sit, have fun. That reminds me of a quick story. I was up in 306. My kid was 8 or 9, and the cotton candy man wouldn't come by. Finally I saw him, he was down in the lower bowl, back of the endzone. I ran down the escalator and found him, way down in the first three rows. I kneeled down in the aisle as a play was getting underway right there in front of me. It was very cool. Three things: 1) Damn, I didn't know guys so big could move so quick. It looks much different up close. 2) All the mud that was flung up from their cleats. You don't see that normally. There was a lot of it. 3) The loud SMACK sound of the pads hitting. It was pretty cool. It was fun. ;-)
