ATLANTASKINSFAN
Why is that whenever someone makes an opinion that Redskins fans don't agree with the person is a "turd", "loser", "idiot", or just plain "clueless"? Because Generally that is what they are. Now don't post again until you understand this. Geesh you Turd :helmet:
wildbill
I took it as a complimet to Joe..you know, how different it looks now that the players are properly executing his system.
Gamebreaker
Joe Buck needs to realize it's preseason and anything new we're doing with the running game won't be shown until Sept. 11th. You would think commentators would know that better than the fans, but oh well.

Philip Pease
Hahaha, I think it's funny when so-called expert analysts show how clueless they really are. I know that Joe Buck is not the analyst, but the play-by-play announcer; but I still get a laugh when they look like idiots.
SnyderShrugged
While some of the aspects are still there (like the counter trey), they are being run more efficiently and executed much better than last year. Dockery looks especially good pulling, where as last year he didn't look comfortable moving. Our linemen are getting to the 2nd level and blocking LBs unlike last year (even in preseason). But having said that, there are going to be more stretch and cutback designed plays for Portis this year. I doubt very seriously that you will see most of those plays unveiled during the preseason schedule. THere were numerous subtle wrinkles added to many of the plays. Even the counter trey looked a little different to me. Isnt it normally run with a pulling guard? I noticed The center pulling a few times. Walking Deadman
Funny thing was Pittsburgh really didn't have much of a run game and Big Ben the 2004 Rookie of the Year struggled more than Ramsey.....THere were at least 2 times the Skins (Taylor was one, Arrington or another LB the other) could have had INT's. Pittsburgh's O is either in alot of trouble or our D is possibly even better than last year. Maybe a little of both.
hands11
One thing that really bothered me last night was Joe Buck made the comment three or four times about how the Redskins running game was just the same old, same old. Maybe some of the formations were the same but the results were a hell of a lot different. Hate to point this out to Joe but ask Portis if it was the same old, same old. After rushing for 1300 yards last year, averaging just 3.8 yards a carry, it didn't look like same old to me. 8 carries, 48 yards. PIMP!!! Gotta hand it to the Dirtbags for opening up those holes. I have to say Aikman doesn't annoy me, but Joe Buck is up in that same category with Madden and Theisman as announcers. They give me a severe unconscious tick anytime they say a word. Thats what he was saying. I didnt find is comments to be inaccurate. He was saying we are running a lot of the same plays that Gibbs always ran. I didnt take it as in insult. He also commented that many are wondering if Betts fit the mold for what Gibbs wants to run better then Portis. Thats nothing new either. Many of us have commented on that. I took his comments as matter a fact, not as insults. Its true that Gibbs didnt overhall the running game, he just twicked it. I think some peope are being overly defensive and to sensitive because the Skins, rightfully so, have been criticized over the last several years. We have it going in the right direction now. I think we will be very good.
In Flames
Prediction Portis get 1600+ yards 12+ tds i said 1700+. with around the same td's, lets hope were both right!
Streater101
1700. The only thing that will keep from getting that is injury (GOD FORBID!!!) or Joe Gibbs spreading the carries around - which I could definitely live with.
MikeB
Your talking about the same guy would FREAKED OUT when Moss pulled a phony moon in the end zone. The guy acted like Moss really dropped his pants. After I saw the replay I couldn't beleive anyone would react that way to something so non-offensive. Ever since then I could no longer stand him. jtyler42
Joe Buck is very annoying...Not b/c of his remarks about the Skins but b/c he commentates on the game like he is the judge and jury, or like he is smarter than people who have actually played coached etc... In Big Ben & Pittsburgh's defense, do you think Ramsey would have done as well if both Portis & Betts were not playing? However, I think we all also noticed that Bettis had little running room against our "D". I think he only got ONE good run the entire evening before his injury, whereas I only recall Portis being stopped short once.
