Statch
One thing that really bothered me last night was Joe Buck made the comment three or four times about how the Redskins running game was just the same old, same old. Maybe some of the formations were the same but the results were a hell of a lot different. Hate to point this out to Joe but ask Portis if it was the same old, same old. After rushing for 1300 yards last year, averaging just 3.8 yards a carry, it didn't look like same old to me. 8 carries, 48 yards. PIMP!!! Gotta hand it to the Dirtbags for opening up those holes. I have to say Aikman doesn't annoy me, but Joe Buck is up in that same category with Madden and Theisman as announcers. They give me a severe unconscious tick anytime they say a word. Number5
Why is that whenever someone makes an opinion that Redskins fans don't agree with the person is a "turd", "loser", "idiot", or just plain "clueless"?

Number5
Yes or no, did the running game last night look like last year's running game? It looked like the same attack, but there were holes this time and plenty of cutback lanes. All and all it was better line play in my opinion. paul55
NO. The O line did not look like it did last year. The O loine opend holes, pass blocked, did not allow any sacks and the center of the O line did not get pushed back. IMHO Joe Buck should consult with Aikman before speaking. Parlett316
Last night was not the "same old same old" Same old crap would have been 2 to 3.8 yards a carry. Joe Buck is clueless and should stick to talking about double plays and retirement.

Shouldn't you have been watching your team play. If the running game looked the same then you weren't paying attention. The gaps were different. The blocking schemes were changed and we had 166 rushing yards against a well coached defensive team. Portis moved the ball extremely well. That is why Joe Buck doesn't know what he is talking about. I guess I should explain this statement.....the plays were the same, but the line actually blocked and allowed Portis and company to have a chance to shine. Streater101
Portis looks like he's lined up deeper, and the O-line is actually stretching more often to create cutback lanes.
The Sir
I was kind of upset with a few things that the media said about the team and the game. How about Terry Bradshaw on the halftime show. "The REDSKINS!?!?!?! You think they have talent on offense? I don't think so" And on sportscenter they talked about how both our offense and the steelers offense struggled. I guess that's a fair statement, but I didn't come away from that game thinking about how badly our offense struggled.
Darth Tater
I have to agree with Number5, our running game did look very similar to last year. The only difference was execution. You execute and the plays will work (or at least tell you what plays will).

dfbovey
While some of the aspects are still there (like the counter trey), they are being run more efficiently and executed much better than last year. Dockery looks especially good pulling, where as last year he didn't look comfortable moving. Our linemen are getting to the 2nd level and blocking LBs unlike last year (even in preseason). But having said that, there are going to be more stretch and cutback designed plays for Portis this year. I doubt very seriously that you will see most of those plays unveiled during the preseason schedule.

Hello, that was what I kept saying last year. Funny thing is I heard Brain Mitchell saying this just a few days ago. He was like, I had the same problem because I was just to returning kickoff and punts. You just go. So instead of changing my nature, I just took a step back. Good. I hope he did step back. Yeah, Redskins are the only fans like that. Why is it that Eagles fans come all the way over here just to ask a pointless question of another teams fans? Especially fans of a team that you supposedly have no worries over because the Eagles are so good. Eagles slogan: "We'll get then next time buddy". topdog
What ticked me off about anouncers was our offense dominated time of possesion against last year's number one defensive team and not a word mentioned.
