GSF
In the words of the great Col. Hannibal Smith, I love it when a plan comes together. Tonights win is huge for Gibbs, Ramsey, and the whole team. Things like better execution, timing, and that "just knowing where he's going" quality between QBs and WRs will come in time, but Gibbs' offense got it rolling tonight on the league's best defense. It was great to see, and at times it really looked like the old Redskins. Some of those counter runs of Betts' were classic Skins. We might be looking back at this game someday as the beginning of the turn around. Great win!

JeffSchmeff
I think our offense will be completely different in there with CP playing a full game, but I still think Ramsey lacks the ability to throw an accurate long pass. He needs to practice that. Also, I feel like he tries to put touch on throws that don't need it, just to put touch on them. He needs to fire those in there. B.A.M.F.
They do look much better from last year, can't wait for the regular season!
TheSkipper
Our O-Line looks incredible. This is the third straight game that I have blown away by how cohesive and dominant they have been. What happened to the false starts? Missed assignments? Getting pushed back into Ramsey?
HapHaszard
I feel it, its coming together, It took a long time to ruin this team, and its not going to be fixed overnight. Joe will do it.

If he doesn't Brunell will. Either way, this offense is going to be so much better b/c of the oline and the WRs.
TheGreek1973
One thing that went "under the radar" but to me is huge. Portis 8 carries--48 yards---6 yards per carry. Oh yea AGAINST THE BEST RUN D IN THE LEAGUE. WOW
Art
The turnaround came against Philly in the second game last year. That's when the team started showing Gibbs' character and toughness. It'll just get better the longer he's here. With our line being as strong as any we'll see, it'll start to look good this year barring a lot of injuries. JeffSchmeff
I'm saying this without doing any research, but can ANYONE remember a pass where Ramsey threw a 40+ yard ball on the money? He's known for his strong arm, but have we seen him hit a guy in stride for a score?
SouthernSkinsFan
Amen brother!! I was thinking the same thing tonight....this could be the fulcrom, so to speak. Yeah, we fulcrumed 'em tonight!!! (Can we say that on here?) I do "feel it," though. Tonight seemed like Good Ol' Joe Gibbs football - power and speed.

I agree, but I think the difference tonight for me is that all of Gibbs' "questionable moves" are starting to look pretty damn good. I also thought tonight looked a more like the old Skins then the end of last year's games. Could be the Newcastle talkin'.
Sarge
Hey man, Ramsey SUCKS, put Brunell in there. And we need to fire Joe Gibbs and the entire coaching staff Oh wait, That was last week:rolleyes: Amazing what a win will do for a message board

He's known for his strong arm, but have we seen him hit a guy in stride for a score? I seem to remember a pass last week to Patten that was in stride and on the money. I've seen a lot of passes where he has overthrown receivers last year. I think the passing offense has been horrendous for the past couple of seasons, and this year we will see a difference. He's known for his strong arm, but have we seen him hit a guy in stride for a score? Last week. He hit David Patten for a 46 yard strike. Dead on. He can throw the long strike. He's a work in progress guys. We'd have never won a Super Bowl with Rypien if Gibbs hadn't worked through his flawed performances. You remember the early days when everytime Ryp got hit he'd fumble the ball. They fixed it, and he went on to win for them. Ramsey has talent, and theres hope. JeffSchmeff
That was a long pass, but Patten had to slow down for it. He underthrows long balls, and did it again tonight. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to poo poo Ramsey, but he worries me, especially when we are trying to stress getting the ball downfield. :2cents:

That reminded me of Rypien after he would throw a TD. Rypien used to do a similiar move.

Ramsey is still extremely shaky when the pressure is on, hell, he's pretty shaky when the pressure isn't on.
Smashinmatt
I remember a Ramsey pass that was in stride for 40+ yards in the 2003 opener vs the Jets. He ducked a blitzer in the end zone, stood up straight and hit Coles deep. I was hooked from that play on (then came the amazing Atlanta game, and not much since). SkinsFTW
If the OL and the defense keep playing like that all year it probably wont matter what QB or RB we have in there. They could probably start Campbell and have him hand off to Rock or Nemo 30 times a game and we would win our share.
