JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - The Jacksonville Jaguars traded kicker Seth Marler to the Dallas Cowboys on Friday for an undisclosed 2006 draft pick.

The move comes two days after the Cowboys cut the injured Billy Cundiff, the team's kicker the last three seasons, who hurt his hip on the final full day of training camp.

Along with Marler, the Cowboys also still have Jose Cortez, who is 4-for-4 kicking field goals in two preseason games this season.

Marler spent all of last season on injured reserve with a quadriceps injury after hitting 20-of-33 field goals and all 30 extra points attempts during his rookie season with the Jaguars in 2003.

Marler was originally signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane.

You have him now. Cortez is levels above Marler, and thats saying ALOT.

By the way, Marler is also a 60% kicker, while Cortez is a very average 71.2%

Wow. Marler DOES suck.

Umm, no we dont.

He didnt pass his physical and the trade was nullified.

So again, good, the Jags can have him.

And yes, you are right. He does suck. :silly:
