bubba9497
Steelers-Redskins: Another Grind for Two Struggling Offenses http://www.wmal.com/listingsEntry.asp?ID=362205&PT=NEWS LANDOVER, Md. (AP) - The last thing the Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins should do is play each other -- especially when both teams are trying to restore some confidence to their sputtering offenses. The Steelers' starters failed to score over seven drives in their first two exhibition games. Ben Roethlisberger's quarterback rating is an ugly 36-point-five. Patrick Ramsey got the Redskins moving last week, but two bad interceptions in the red zone left coach Joe Gibbs fuming. Ramsey's rating is a dubious 57-point-nine. Pittsburgh coach Bill Cowher says it will be a grind when the two teams meet tomorrow night. The Steelers' defense was rated Number One last year and the Redskins' defense was Number Three. Both defenses have played up to billing so far this preseason.
Jimbo
Sounds like an old fashioned, 5 FG, 9-6 dogfight. Maybe we should just not allow the kickers to play in this game.

forbeskin
Should make for a good game. I don't care either way, it's on TV on the west coast!
MoeRedskins
Should be a grinder tomorrow, I can't wait cause we actually have the running game compared to Pitts, who is running on fumes right now.
Leonard Washington
we gave them a good game last year...i don't really care about the outcome in this one. i hope for no injuries and 34 TDs by ramsey.
bulldog
defense and a running game are the staple of most playoff teams. that's why I think with decent offensive numbers from Ramsey and Roethlisberger that both teams will be in the 2005 postseason. and by defense and a running game I mean potentially DOMINATING defenses and running games, not merely pretty good to good units Portis with a healthy offensive line should be up around 1,600 yards again. The Redskins face some better offenses in 2005 but with greater playmaking ability with the return of #56, #93 should be better as well.
