It was just a matter of time until Curt "Mister Know It All" Schilling had to open his big mouth about Palmeiro. Apparently Schilling said that Palmeiro's records should be erased from the record books and how dare he sit next to him during the congress hearings and lie.

How dare he? Who does this guy think he is? And by the way, what did he get shot up with during last years playoffs?

An American citizen who doesn't appreciate someone breaking the law and lying under oath?

Nothing illegal.

Yeah, but Schilling comes across like he's a know it all, holier the thoe type of person to me. Just my observation. Also, you know how these guys are, would he be saying that if it was a teammate? I doubt it.

He pretty much just said what Frank Robinson said, who's well respected and who, I believe, managed Palmeiro for a couple of years.

Why are you more worried about the holier-than-thou know-it-alls than the lying cheaters?

He didn't say anything new. He basically was asked about Frank Robinson's comments and said he agreed with them. Teammates don't and shouldn't comment on one another or throw one another under the bus. That's a given. Family problems are dealt within the family, but outsiders don't have the same bond. If it were Sammy Sosa who came out and said something about Raffy, then I'd have problem with it even if it were true & honest.

expressing your opinion=hollier than thou?

I hope he wouldn't say it about a teammate. That would be disasterous for his teams chemistry.

Cal Ripken has said basically the same thing re: raffy.

Curt Schilling is the one that had stitches put into his ankle before the local anesthia kicked in and played in the world series w/ a bum foot. Schilling was shot up with I think cortizone not an anabolic steroid.

All he did was agree with Robinson. Hell if their not letting Pete Rose in because he gambled I'm all for erasing Raffys records because he used a banned substance. That was his fault and no one elses.

yeah. I was wondering this also.

Why are you so quick to defend the guys who get caught, but roast the guys who haven't?

and no, Lance hasn't been caught. They claim to have docs from a 7 year old piss test, and somehow they retested it.

YEA! 1-0 you win!

Nobody's defending anybody here. I never accused Lance of doping and I'm not defending Palmeiro. But to say all his records should be erased is silly. Frank and Curt has a right to there opinions, but they're dead wrong. And Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame.

You guys take steroids and sports way to serious.

I'm gonna give you an example. Palmeiro comes back to Baltimore off of a 10 game steroid suspension and gets booed.

Jamal Lewis is soon going to be coming back to the same fans after doing time in "PRISON" after being convicted of setting up a drug deal and I gaurantee he doesn't here one boo. But I'm the one who has problems. Go figure.

He plays for the Ravens, going to jail is a right of passage for them, he know gets to sit in 1st class w/ Ray Ray and Rolle.

It mainly just has to do with the fact that it is considered cheating by everyone who has any knowledge of what roids do. People hate cheaters. Conspiring to sell dope is not cheating. That's a little more forgivable because you aren't slapping the fans in the face as hard, especially when it happened back when you were 18/19 and in college.

What Jamal Lewis does/did does not affect the outcome of a sporting event.

I know plenty of Ravens fans who are disgusted with bot Jamal and Ray Lewis. You have problems because you said that someones opinion is "wrong."

Please tell me you're not serious. Cheating has been apart of sports for as long as I can remember. Do you have any idea what drugs do to people? Palmeiro is hurting himself. By setting up drug deals, Lewis could be indirectly putting yours, mine and anybody elses life in danger that come into the path of the person that benefited from this drug deal.

They're opinion on that matter is wrong because how do you prove when he started taking steroids. He probably started a long time ago, but you can't prove that.

It has, and Palmeiro was caught. People go to sporting events to see the athletes play sports, and he's going to get booed because he got caught cheating. Lewis wasn't cheating, so he won't get a similar reaction.

Now, if Lewis was going to speak at a Anti-Drug rally, he'd probably be booed out of the place.

What about all the spitballers and the vasolineballers that everybody now laughs about? Wouldn't they be considered cheaters? Are they going to remove Mgwire's records from the books?
