PREDICTOR
I don't know what the big deal is. Lavar has been healed and ready to go for a month. All of this holding him out, as I have said before, is nothing but posturing. Gibbs refuses to allow Lavar to claim that they RUSHED him back into action before he was ready. Lavar was ready last month...and so he is just being forced to practice on his own for an extra month. Greg Williams has already said Lavar is in the best shape he has ever been in, even better than when they started the season last year. No doubt this is due to Lavar working out constantly on weights and running and not being allowed to put on the pads. I said 2 weeks ago that I would be surprised if Lavar played 10 plays against Cincy. Well I wasn't shocked that he didn't even play. However, I would expect him to play at least the first defensive series against Pittsburg....and maybe not much more, unless its 3 and out. Also, I hope they hold out Marcus Washington from this game because he is "ready". He has nothing to prove and he can use the rest. Its going to be a long season, but when Lavar and Marcus Washington are in there together.....this should be a real pleasure to watch those 2 frighten QB's. I look for MArcus to blitz much more this year.

Funkyalligator
I just want everyone on our team to be fully healthy by the start of the season.....having a full load of starters and backups will help the team with consistency......and I am very happy to hear that Jacobs is back and healthy and they are taking an extra week to make sure everything is okay... I gotta disagree, Arrington hasn't played in a long time. Though I dont want to see him get hurt I think he probably needs a couple of quarters in each of these last two pre season games to get back in the groove of things and also let others around him get familier with him and his way of playing. ryerye05
I really dont see how lavar could possibly be in the best shape ever. He was on crutches less than 2 months ago. For about 8 or 9 months their was no way he could have done any kind of strenuos lifting with his legs. Upper body (which is what everyone see's) may be much better but i just dont see how he can have the speed and power in his legs quite yet......and when it comes to football legs are what counts,
