Ignatius J.
jimoh is the new david terrell. I hadn't thought about it that way before, but you're exactly right. Defensive back who makes the team as a special teams stud year after year, but can't really play defense to save his life. Are we sure Terrell didn't just change his name and number so he wouldn't get booed off the field?
Blade
Guys, I really dont get the hating on Jimoh. He is *excellent* on ST and has a GREAT attitude about his blessings of being able to play in the NFL. I dont think we need to worry too much about him getting on the field as a DB much considering the talent we have in front of him there. Dont you guys remember how much our ST ruled under Gibbs the first time around? Dont you remember how much it sucked before Gibbs came back? Lets give some credit here regarding the guys that make the team only on ST.
stupidsuck
Dang! Ade Jimoh just made the team. before you know it, Jimoh will have been a skin for 20 years
Mr. S
before you know it, Jimoh will have been a skin for 20 years the longest tenured Redskins since Darrell Green and probably most hated. I kinda think Eric Joyce may make the team, he's shown better glimpses. Springs, Rogers, Harris, Wilds, Joyce sounds good, or Rufus Brown. I doubt Jimoh makes the team again still. VaBeachSkinzFan
Dang! Ade Jimoh just made the team. That was my first thought too. I really thought that Hawkins was going to help us out. I think Darrell should quit that sideline reporting and come back for one more season.
Bugs'
A position that we are already thin at....this does not help the situation. Springs and Harris starting with Rogers as our Nickel back and possibly starting for Harris as the season wears on.....this has me concerned. zoneblitz
Couldn't we cut Ade Jimoh and tap our depth at LB to replace him? Really, can a LB cover any worse than Jimoh?
Ron Mexico
Listen guys, this is what i'll do, I'll play cornerback for the redskins for minimum wage (not the league minimum but the government minimum) and I can get burned just as bad as Jimoh, maybe worse if that's possible, and we can save some $. Im always glad to help out my team
kappaluvacee
Ahh, I’ve been waiting to see Gibbs' first roster stashing move of regime II. Think about it folks, how often do hamstrings keep players out for a whole year? I don't have the stats, but it's not very often. This is a strategic move. The staff must think he's an asset for the future. If he were some type of fodder, they would offer an injury settlement. Instead IR means he gets his pay, but remains our property for at least a whole year because he can't be cut or released until he's medically cleared to play and he can't play for the whole season after getting this designation. Last year I heard some writers say that Gibbs and the FO in his first stint made a living manipulating the roster by IR'ing players that were not completely injured just to keep them with the organization as an additional development tool. It was even stated that the Skin's FO are a big reason many owners pushed for stricter regs regarding the roster allotment. Those writers were saying "he won't be able to stash good players on the IR like he used to."
PREDICTOR
Just for the record, in case Greg Williams and Coach Gibbs happens to read this web site, I need to clue them in on something: Ade Jimoh can't cover with a blanket. He is a TD waiting to happen.....for the other team. Pick up ANYBODY from the upcoming cut list, but Ade Jimoh is just not good and he isn't getting better. Its obvious to a stadium full of fans, and its obvious to everyone who watches from the T.V. And if you still don't believe me, just put him out there to start this week and then smell the burnt toast. And perhaps the biggest detriment, he NEVER makes a play. I mean a PLAY. The only time he makes something happen is for the other team.
