AlexRS
Our 1st or 2nd drive will reach the endzone against the Steelers if Portis is healthy. I predict a more balanced attack in the first drive, with a healthy combination of Portis running and PR passing. If the first drive reaches the endzone, then Portis will come out and we will see some more long passes from PR for practice. If the first drive fails to reach the endzone, Portis might stay for the second drive (which will reach the endzone). Mark my words. LoGiK
I think we will lose 17 -28 Portis will get a TD Ramsey will connect to cooley for a TD Rothisberger will connect with Hynes Ward all night..I think Rogers will be covering him... (rogers better start conditioning!!O] )
laurent
We will whip the Steelers silly. Two TDs by Ramsey to Moss and Royal, and a rushing TD by Betts near the end of the second quarter. 21-7 at the half and nice fat platter of delicious crow for all the naysayers. SkinsCrunkin
I'm not going to make any predictions...we can lose for all I care...I just wanna see the offense move the ball well, mistake free and the defense keep doing their jobs... oh and for the special teams to keep playing well... Clinton Portis
Passing will go well, Running will not. We probaly won't come out with a win...I see a 1-3 Preseason. Or even the historical 0-4. What silly team plays to win these things anyways?
bubba9497
there will be 50 thread griping about Ramsey & 50 more defending him regardless of his performance
CEJ2200
This will be a good test for our D. As long they can shut their running game, and we can move the ball without any injuries - I'll be happy.
SkinsTillIDie
Coach Gibbs will combine the offensive strategies of the first two games into a more balanced playbook. Clinton Portis will get less than five carries. The commentators will talk about the additions of Rabach and Jansen to this year's line, and will mention that the line will have to be a lot better this season. Patrick Ramsey will make some great throws, but will get picked off as well, and will get bashed to no end on these boards. Mark Brunell will play decently against Pittsburgh's second string, and many fans will call for him to be the starter. Carlos Rogers will give up a big reception, and fans will question his ability and our management for drafting him. Jason Campbell will appear more poised than Ramsey in the pocket, because he is playing against 3rd stringers, but will still not deliver much in terms of points or yardage Darnerian McCants will not take advantage of his opportunity. He will drop at least one pass. Rock and Nemo will both again be our best offensive players. Coach Gibbs will look frusterated after another loss, and the Redskin fanbase will be worried to death over this new season. Talkshows will question whether or not Gibbs has lost it. Talkshows will question whether or not Gibbs will quit on the team. Sean Salisbury will try to correct Ramsey's throwing motion and/or movement in the pocket on NFL Live, even though he was never ever even a decent quarterback in the NFL. (in the biggest game of his career, he went 6-20 with 2 INTs against the Skins in the '92 playoffs) The Redskins will wear white
NoCalMike
I have a feeling that as long as our starting Defense is in there, Rothelisburger will be exposed as being overrated. I think his play started to drastically decline over the second half of the year last season, but like Dilfer/Banks on the 2000 Ravens, the rest of the team was good enough to win with a so-so QB. I say we lose still, and I don't care....24-21 L INJURY FREE, IS THE KEY~!
PREDICTOR
I think that Greg Williams will continue to tinkerwith different players, inserting guys who aren't starters but need work. But with the high quality backups we have this defense shold hold its own despite the lack of blitz packages. I also think that the Skins will not fumble or lose the ball despite the Steelers heavy dose of blitzing. I also predict that if someone DOES lose the ball that person will wish he were dead when he goes to the sideline to see Joe Gibbs. I don't see Patrick achieving that Pro Bowl status this weekend, but I do see him looking a bit better considering Portis will be rushing, and because Patrick and Patten seem to be finding a connection. Give the Skins 2 TD's in the first half this week because they WILL go deep, and they will connect on one.
DCSKINZ80
I give the skins 10 points in the first half. Ramsey will hit some throws and throw some way off. The steelers defense is nasty so I'm expecting a lot of blitzing and pressure on Ramsey. Thinking Ramsey is all of a sudden going to break out is overly optimistic. I'm hoping for good smart plays with the football and no turnovers. We'll have some short possessions but our defense will get our O back on the field as always. Clinton should have a 4 yard per carry day but will only run a 4-5 times. Patten will once again be our leading receiver. Cooley should get a couple balls thrown his way this week since he's been more or less invisible the last few weeks. The decision on Mccants i think has already been made, the team is probably going with Dyson instead. Nemo will have another touchdown this week and will play well and spirited to make up for his fumble last week. Rock just doesn't seem to want to go away so I think he'll play well again this week too. Brunnel will play well again this week against 2nd or 3rd stringers. The steelers still win 24-20 but the important thing is at half time we're tied 10-10 showing that we can play with the big boys.
jempet
I hope we do something! I'm taking my wife to the game, and she's a Steeler's fan. I can't stand the long drive home if we lose.

But did you see him pat the ball with his hand.. I tell you Brunell needs to start!.

Bets are welcomed From redskins.com: Head coach Joe Gibbs said he hopes Portis can play this Friday--partly because the Steelers defense was No. 1 in the NFL last season and the Redskins' offense will need every weapon at its disposal. "He needs to get some good solid work in there," Gibbs said. "Certainly this will be one game that if you gain the yards, you will have earned it. It will be a tough assignment for us, but we need to get him some good, hard work in there." So far so good! Looks like my prediction is on track... We will have one or two real drives w/ Portis running and PR passing. One of them will be a TD drive. Hopefully that will show what PR can do in more-or-less balanced offence, and slow down all the PR hatin' that's been going on.
