Cincinnati Bengals vs Washington Redskins preview

http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/articles/bengals-redskins-preview190805.php

The Cincinnati Bengals are in our nation’s capitol to face off against the Washington Redskins. Kick off is scheduled for 8PM. Both teams are looking to see better execution from their young starting quarterbacks.

Carson Palmer has a ton of weapons at his disposal, yet looked very pedestrian in his first action of the season last week. He is look to improve on his 4-7 passing performance. He must get back into the throwing form he had in the second half of the 04’ season if the Cincinnati Bengals want a shot at the post season. Recently signed first round pick David Pollack will not play this evening due to the fact that he just got into a camp a few days ago. Expect to see the starting unit play the entire first half.

Patrick Ramsey was efficient last week, but was unable to cash in with a touchdown. The Washington Redskins play caller has shown flashes of brilliance in his young career, but must cut down on turnovers and play a more consistent style of football. He’s got two new targets in ex-Patriot David Patten and ex-Jet Santana Moss. He’s also got one of the best running backs in the league sharing the backfield with him, but don’t expect Clinton Portis to suit up for tonight’s game. He is nursing a sore elbow and will likely be held out. On defense, the Redskins will finally see their first round pick, Carlos Rogers, get some game action, but will be the without the services super star linebacker LaVar Arrington. Expect to see the starting unit play for nearly one half.

Glad to hear their starting D is playing the whole first half. I would like to see Ramsey stay in atleast that far to try to get something going.

Furthermore, does anyone else feel that we should let Ramsey play against their 3rd stingers, because then hopefully he will be able to get something going and develop a bit of a rhythm and confidence for when he eventually has to play against higher quality competition.

No, Ramsey has nothing to prove against 3rd stringers, that would only bring about false confidence
