We here at BWF (Brotman-Winter Fried) are running a series of very high-level spectator-oriented flag football games this summer, one in Washington, D.C. and one in Philadelphia featuring NFL Alumni players from both teams. These teams will consist of many of the top players from the 90s, including the man him self Randall Cunningham and legends such as Hershel Walker, Seth Joyner, Andre Waters, John Booty, Erik McMillan and more. We’ve got equally big names lined up from the Redskins including Gary Clark, Dexter Manley, Charles Mann, Brian Mitchell who will be playing in the game while the greats like Darrell Green, Art Monk and more wil be signing autographs. Tickets just went on sale through TicketMaster and our web-site, now fully operational, just went live. Check it out at www.flagfootballshowdown.com. There you can find every piece of information you’ll need about the two events. In addition to the two games, July 24 in DC and Aug 13 in Philly, there are several other elements involved including a night before VIP party, a pre-game fan fest, online auctions where people can bid to "own" the teams, coach the teams and even play on the teams! Plus a silent auction, kids play areas, etc. This will be a major event in both markets, promoted in Philly by WIP and Comcast Sports Net and in DC by WTEM and Comcast Sports Net. Plus, the game will be broadcast on a tape delayed basis the following week. We've been working on this event since last September. It will be a truly big event. You can also check out our agency at www.specialevent.com. I'm basically looking to reach out to EVERY fanweb-site that connects with Redskins fans to help spread the word about the event. Tickets are going fast so we would love to get you great fans involved as soon as possible. There will be a 3 hour festival of food, beer, games and a silent auction prior to the game it's self to meet and greet and get autographs from all the great Redskin legendary players. The Festival is free and tickets are only 20$. The game is right before teh start of mini camps, so what better way to get excited about the Redskins 2005 season then seeing the legends of old.
