Mr. S
well, I have alluded to this problem before, but I really need some help now. I bought these 2 dvd sets from a seller (yes, a new seller with no feedback yet, stupid idea, will never happen again). Anyways, I ask to mail the money order, which she wanted, in a couple days, after finals were done. Won on tuesday, sent out money order on friday. Anyways, no response, a week later I emailed, she responded saying she got money, waiting for check to clear. Sounds straight. No response, another email a week later, she responds "oh, I sent that out a few days ago", ok so still pretty straight. In the meantime her e-bay account was terminated, apparently called out by another seller was her answer. Anyways, almost 2 weeks pass, and I call her out saying no item, she said she is orry, and will refund me if items dont come in any time, and asked for my paypal adress. I said I would wait a week, and then ask for a refund minus the 5$ shipping costs just to be as amiable as possible in case she really did send the item out. Well, a week later I ask for money, and the next 2 weeks she has been stalling, well it may be close to 3 now. Ill send 2-3 emails, and she'll respond with something like 'what is your home adress again, I may have tracked the order' or 'i have another set which i can send you if that is fine' and then followed up by 'are you sure you dont want the other set'. Each time I have said I would prefer my 30$ paypal'd to me as we had agreed upon. She still keeps stalling. Finally, I said I will file a coplaint otmorrow night unless money is sent through paypal, and she said that sign up on something called stormpay and she will send me the money through that, after she said that she will paypal me the money before. I think this is rediculous, it is only 30$, and a complaint through ebay would not really compensate, but I still want to go through them. What is everyones take, and has anyone else ever heard of stormpay?
DaRock
I've never heard of stormpay...Man, I feel your pain..I've dealt with some real jackasses like this before about buying online products. Live and you learn...If you paid her with paypal, you can file a complaint from there..They tend to do a good job at a resolution. Ebay doesn't do a dang thing except send out an automated email to you for the complaint.

modok
Never ever send money order, chashiers check or personal check to pay for an eBay auction. You have absolutely no protection from fraud that way. I do not care how much feedback a person has or how great it is.....always pay via Paypal. Paypal is ALWAYS going to side with the credit card companies. modok
If eBay has already terminated her account, reporting her isn't going to do much. You can get her personal information from eBay such as her phone number. At this point you are going to have to become such a nuisance to her that she refunds your money. Mr. S
man, this blows, yeh, I realized that if her account was terminated, then I got nothing. This really blows, I have no problem using money orders as Ive used them before w/o problems and actually prefer them as a seller. I feel I shouldnt get a 'stormpay' account though, thats total bs, especially when the person said shed paypal me instead. I think I should just become reisgned to losing the 36$. Remember this for people who try to sell with 0 feedback, people do not want to trust you.
