The Sisko
Actually I would call Taylor a punk to his face. If he hasn't learned anything he'd end up in jail for assault and I'd get a nice fat check for my pain and suffering. As for clout, our reputation speaks for itself. If you don't know what I mean, think of the prototypical Alpha men, Dr. Martin Luther King and Thurgood Marshall. OTOH Kappas have great role models like Whitman Mayo (Grady) and Cedrick the Entertainer...I rest my case. Besides, you "pledged" (and I use the term loosely) at a time when skating was/is the norm. Talk to me when you've really pledged. Later Grady.
HeHateMe
Anything criminal (especially involving a gun) is pretty much always worse than plain stupidity.

One thing I will say about MLK, he obviously joined before A-P-A become known as the rest haven for the G-P-G since he seemed to have a natural affection for women. Wasn't he married to a woman named Corretta? I'm not sure what Hoover was proving with all of those pictures of MLK with other women. He was a preacher; a good preacher always has time for bible study with beautiful un-wed women. Keeping with the theme of prototypical alphamen, Dick Gregory is an inspiration to us all, at least while we are at the local watering hole. Keenan Ivory Wayans is the man....Did I mention Marion Barry? Please, prototypical alphaman.....I can't believe he put the crack-pipe down long enough to recite his seven jewels and the "last supper." These are the prototypical alphamen you neglected to mention....I didn't want to turn the heat up, I asked for PM in my post, but this is the way you wanted it. (For the rest of the board, this isn't for your input. It's the equivalent of two siblings arguing on the front lawn. We can say what we want about our parents, but if you leave the curb to join in we'll both take you out. I can't be any more real about it than that.) The things I say about this Alphaman are said out of comedy. I don't know Yusuf and I respect many of the persons I'm clowning. Additionally, I edit your list of fine Kappamen to include Johnny Cochran (R.I.P), Tavis Smiley, Tom Bradley, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, and the "Big O" to name a few. Besides, you "pledged" (and I use the term loosely) at a time when skating was/is the norm. Talk to me when you've really[/i] pledged.Later Grady. [/b] I earned the stripes of my Cane. I'm not adding one more comment to that effect!
riggo44forlife
As I stated in another thread, I deal with juvenal felons on a daily basis and 75% come from the “hood” and every day I here them talk about having to live in the hood and how hard it is. The point is the “hood” mentality gets people hurt and you would think that people like Taylor would try to set a better example. I am sick and tired of having where you come from be an excuse to hurt others. If all those that live in “the hood” who complain about its hard times and what it takes to survive would step up and make a difference instead of making excuses then we would not be having this discussions. And if Taylor is dumb enough to trade an NFL career and freedom for “street cred” then how can we expect him to remember when he is cover one or cover two. icarpio
I can't believe there are skins fans that are defending this kind of ridiculous behavior. there is no good excuse for pulling out a gun unless your life is in danger. Sean taylor is not a redskin, he has never been a redskin, he has loyalty only to himself. We are trying to build something this year, we are trying to finally pull ourselves out of our 14 year quick sand, and players like taylor are going to ruin all the hard work that so many other players have put in this offseason

Romberjo
Taylor. But I think people are unfairly holding the alleged DUI against him. The charge was dropped after the judge reviewed the evidence and said there wasn't sufficient evidence to go forward. There is no reliable evidence that Taylor was in fact driving drunk -- or even that he wrongfully refused the breathalyzer. (Also, if, say, the gun wasn't loaded or wasn't real, his conduct was only appallingly stupid rather than mind-numbingly idiotic; we don't know the full set of facts yet.) I say that as someone who was in the minority raising early questions about Taylor's character last year in training camp.
