  1. I can't defend the Redskins, but there's some truth to your point. Not to get into topics better suited in the tailgate, but writer political agendas are probably at play.
  2. The best we can hope for is the healthy version of what the coaching staff wanted this team to be. Of course, our secondary and QB situation will likely be worse, but why be negative? Next season could be the start of great things!
  3. @Skinsinparadise - I'd take Gregg, even as a HC, in a New York minute - so long as Allen hits the unemployment line at the same time as Gruden.
  4. Speak for yourself man, I consider myself a long term abuse survivor with a bad case of Stockholm syndrome.
  5. The young stud QB is a great idea, but at present time the team and organization are far too unstable to handle Brown or Beckham.

    Redskins Cut DJ Swearinger!

Sound off on the organization and fans, and then lie about the culprit to the media? No problem, they got your back. Repeatedly hold teammates and coaches accountable in the media after poor performance during games? They'll cut you, no matter how good you are. That's Jay's message, for good or for bad. I think DJ was our best player in a weakish secondary. If rumors are true that the front seven and secondary had issues, that makes this a little easier to swallow...but self serving rumors after an unceremonious exit are a little too common around here.

Who should be the next head coach for the Skins

I'm not sure that I want Harbaugh without Ozzy. Retirement or no, I'd go hard after both if Harbaugh becomes available.

    Alex Smith Actual Status

Great news! I hope the worst is behind him and that it's smooth sailing going froward.

NBCSports: Foster says **** this team and the fanbase

Are they teenagers by any chance? I could see that. If it's adults, that's just sad.

We all say things out of anger, but you generally don't see a regretful person follow it up with a lie to cover up their guilt. Owning up to the mistake with truthful regret allows everyone to move on..this was nothing of the sort.

Redskins vs Jaguars Prediction Thread: 2018 Disappointment Superbowl

Johnson looks like a golden God for one game - this game - and gives us false hope that the Redskins have found a diamond in the rough. Johnson then remembers that he's Johnson, and that he's playing for the Redskins, and reverts to form starting next week. Redskins 24 Jags 13
  12. The Skins can't even tank properly and squeak out a win in the last game of the season, resulting in them having to over-pay to trade up for a mediocre rookie QB that would have fallen to them anyways.

    Evaluating Jay Gruden in 2018

I've defended Jay up to this season, arguing that he's done well with what little he started with, and that he needs time to hone his craft and build. Well, he's had enough time, he's still not a leader of men, and his offensive scheme is a dinosaur in the modern NFL. As i see it, there is zero reason to keep him.
  14. Yes, but only if it meant the end of Snyder, and if it did, I'd support it even if it meant the end of the Redskins. Open a new stadium in DC named Jack Kent Cooke Memorial Stadium, name the team the Washington **** Dan Snyders, make sure no current employee of the Redskins is on the payroll (other than beloved old stars now broadcasting,) and take my money.

NBCSports: Foster says **** this team and the fanbase

I think this is yet another reason that my thirty+ year fandom is hanging on by a thread, held together by fond memories of a very distant past.
