You came in here to post that and then he played well. I’ll say what I said to you in the other thread:

THIS is why I get nervous about this franchise drafting a guy who needs time to develop. He’s started, what, 5 games? And you’re already throwing the “I was right” card.

The point about not putting all QBs from the same school in the same bucket still stands by the way. It’s really silly. Each prospect is their own entity. Evaluate them as so.

The rookie all look fairly pedestrian. The NFL is complicated and a lot faster than college. It takes some time.

Ultimately you may wind up right. And when that happens I’ll be the first to say, “I was wrong”. But it takes more than 5 games. Pump the brakes.

It doesn't take 5 games to know that the wft should have traded up for him and taken a chance

Remember how many screamed for Fields last year and told everyone who said no because OSU QBs don’t translate well to the NFL that they were just suffering bad feelings from Haskins?

    Yeah about that.

Update: They were just suffering from bad feelings.

It's the same thing people said about Cousins. Some are just reluctant to blame the QB because they're desperate to believe that someone could be the answer. I get it.

It’s an absolute insult to compare a top 12 QB like Cousins to Heinicke.

On another note: Rattler is going to transfer after this season and won’t be in the draft. Riley benching him time and time again tells me things just aren’t clicking between the two of them. And Rattler has a NFL future to protect and Riley has a program to think about.

The kid that’s in right now is NOT better than Rattler right now so there’s something going on there that we don’t know about. Though I do like Caleb Williams.

I wouldn’t mind Rattler in a Canes jersey.

Caleb is miles better than Rattler what are you even talking about lol

I posted this a while back, but look at the teams who will chase a QB and who won't this off-season:

Teams with their QBs locked in:

    1). Bills (Allen)

    2). Pats (Jones)

    3). Jets (Wilson

    4). Ravens (Jackson)

    5). Browns (Mayfield)

    6). Bengals (Burrow)

    7). Titans (Tannehill)

    8.  Colts (Wentz) (too pot committed)

    9). Jags (Lawrence)

    10). Raiders (Carr)

    11). KC (Maholmes)

    12). LAC (Herbert)

    13). Dallas (Dak)

14). NYG (Jones) (Their ownership loves him and he's produced so far this season)

    15). Bears (Fields)

16). TB (Brady) (as long as he's their, they won't draft a QB as the next guy and instead will try and win now)

17). Panthers (Darnold) (looks good right now)

    18). SF (Lance)

    19). Rams (Stafford)

    20). Seattle (Wilson)

    21). Arizona (Murray)

Teams potentially looking at a QB:

22). Miami (Do they give Tua more time?)

    23). Pittsburgh (stone cold lock)

24). Texans (Obviously depends on Watson.  If he's back, then they are locked in on him)

25). Denver (Depends on what they think of Teddy.  Lock isn't the answer)

26).  Philly (Unless Hurts lights it up, I think they will use their draft capital to try and trade for Watson/draft a guy)

27). GB (Depends on what Rodgers wants)

28). Lions (Do they roll with Goff and build around him?)

29). Vikings (They are committed cap wise to Kirk, but they were rumored to be hot after Fields last year)

30). Atlanta (Ryan is near the end)

31). NO (Payton hasn't been shy about going after young QBs (remember his Maholmes chase)

    32). Was (duh)

We have a ton of competition for QBs.

Green Bay is set on Love if Rodgers leaves. Plus, one of these teams will take Rodgers and another Cousins if their teams move on.

It's also been something of a nightmare season for Sam Howell.  He's shell shocked.  Spraying the ball high, taking coverage sacks, and fumbling it.  He's already been sacked five times in the first half of this one tonight.

There is no way he gets picked QB1 at this rate.  Might be a buy-low candidate for us if we end up picking late again.

He’s on a terrible team. He’s gonna go somewhere decent now and become a good QB.

And i'd say the hit percentage on QBs in the first since then is 50% at best which is a pretty horrendous ratio considering the importance of the position, the resources spent on their development as well as the time spent in evaluation. When you have a team built to win now, you simply can't afford to take that kind of a chance. I mean you can, it's the kind of decision that ruins scouting and coaches careers.

The hit percentage on QBs after round 1 is probably less than 3% if even. You need to take a chance if you ever want to win a SB.

If the plan is to stick with Fitzpatrick this year, while drafting our future QB next offseason or trading for a franchise QB, I don't see it as a potential mistake.  It's the people in the fanbase, and the pundits who are hyping us as contenders that are going to turn this into a mistake if Fitzpatrick stumbles.  This is an 8-9 win team, and potentially a division winner, but that's all they are.  Anyone expecting WFT to be a 11 win team and an NFC Championship team or greater, is deluding themselves.  We don't have the QB's on our roster capable of making this team a contender.  We will either draft a rookie in the coming offseason, or trade for a high profile QB.  Once we do, then we will officially be on the clock as an NFC contender.

The issue is as an 8-9 win team you have a slim to none shot at drafting a good QB prospect especially in a weak class. They’re just doomed to mediocrity at this point because of their decision to punt on the position and draft Jamin.

Buffalo's two receivers were All Pros last season.

Haskins started six games last season, I realize he's the scapegoat for everything that went wrong last year, but Terry's lack of production relative to the top receivers in the league can't wholly be blamed on him.  And FWIW, Terry was way better as a rookie when Haskins played more.  And not all of those great receivers have had the benefit of great quarterbacking throughout their careers.

The biggest thing that's not like the others when comparing Terry to Godwin/Evans/Brown/Jefferson/Thielen/Adams/Diggs/Beasley/Hopkins/Green/Jones/Brown/Beckam/Landry/Metcalf/Lockett is that they've piled up All Pro and Probowl selections in their careers.  Terry hasn't earned that kind of esteem or hardware yet.  Our fanbase is hoping he gets there, but it acts like he already has and it is pure, irrational homerism.

Half of those are not even in their prime anymore. Stop.

Tampa has three that are better than him.  Minny has two.  Buffalo has two.  Arizona has two plus Rondale Moore in the pipeline.  Seattle has two.  Tennessee has two.  Cleveland has two and they're a run first team.  And that's just the here and now.  There are teams like Denver and Cincy and Miami and Dallas and KC and SF who look like they're going to have that level of depth this year.  And other teams have #1 receivers who are better than Terry like New Orleans, Green Bay, Atlanta, and Chicago.

For us to match the level of skill talent that the good offenses field, we have to hope Terry makes the leap to being the All Pro caliber player that this fan base already thinks he is, and that Samuel is an ascending talent on the cusp of making a major leap too.

I’M SORRY DID YOU SAY FITZGERALD BEASLEY AB AND LANDRY ARE BETTER THAN TERRY WTF

Are lawmakers in a rush to build Snyder’s stadium. Again, I get the feeling he’s not too popular. You might be from the area, you tell me.

As for Sofi Stadium, didn’t the Rams owner fund that 100%?

Stadiums aren’t fully funded by one avenue. SoFi got a huge sum from the NFL itself to get built. Others were part taxpayer part ownership part other loans.

Basically if lawmakers see economic potential from events that could boost local businesses as well that would be a reason to invest in a new stadium project. It’s not just about the WFT.
