  1. They can fire a player, but they would still have to pay him on the contract.
  2. I agree.... I think he was being a poor sport because he was not starting.
  3. Previously asked and answered. Typical of his entitlement mentality. Which is why is undeclared "protest" coincided with his being benched and only ripened into a "protest" after he was called in the media.
  4. You should try to comprehend better and do less editorializing. Actually this rant seems to place you beyond hope...
  5. To be sure, the NFL is not a public forum it is a private forum, and protests at NFL events can lawfully be snuffed out by the league or the owners at any time. I don't think these protests have done anything to improve the discussion in this country. And the league is stuck between a rock and a hard place. If the protests escalate, they will lose fans. If they take action to prohibit the protests, a different group of fans will leave.
  6. In other words, if nobody had ever called him out on it, we still wouldn't know why he was slouching by the water jugs during the anthem (the kneeling came only after he was called on it)....brilliant protest.
  7. Yes, Kap has an entitlement mentality, and his "protest" and its questionable origins are typical of that. Unfortunately his supporters on here are unable to make a cogent argument in his defense, and resort only to name calling. I guess I would be justified to call that typical as well.
  8. I am a troll because you don't agree with me. OK. Glad that you are laughing.
  9. Why don't you try to act like a grownup for a change, stop the name calling and stick to the facts? Both of you accused me of being incorrect. I posted a link that showed that I am actually correct. Now you two come back calling names and crying in your cheerios. This shows that you are about as legit as the flag "protests" that you champion. Ad hominem is usually resorted to by those whose arguments can't stand on individual merit.
  10. I am typical, of the legions of fans who work hard, abide by the law, respect our nation and don't care to tolerate "protests" that disrespect the nations flag. When you can't refute the facts....
  11. Here you go. Two weeks "unnoticed." No "grand unveiling." Later he "expands his justification." Hope this doesn't shatter your eggshell world view and sensitivities.
  12. He didn't even give an explanation until the after the 2nd week. Kind of odd timing for a "protest" statement. Just lazy and insolent. Typical.
  13. Let's see how this whole thing started: Kap got benched and was pouting. Reporters noticed his lazy, insolent butt slouching during the anthem and remarked on it. Had he previously come with an announcement of some sort of protest? No, but now he runs with it. It is my firm belief that this did not begin as an intentional protest. And sums up the merit of the whole thing. I don't like Trump and I don't like the protests either. I find them disgusting. If they continue more fans will walk away. If the Redskins start in on it, I will vote with my remote and turn it off. And when dollars march away from the NFL these idiots will get the poetic justice they deserve.

Per Schefter: Su'a Cravens Considering Retirement

If he is such a putty wink that he wants to quick after one year then he never should have signed up for the draft and signed a multi-year contract. Quitting under these circumstances is NOT just a personal decision, it affects the entire team and the fan base. If he is medically cleared to play and he just quits, then he is a massive putty wink. And those that would rush to his defense are putty winks too.
