Have you just joined this conversation in the last few weeks? Cause we spend most weeks trolling and then you guys get a few wins, come back and it all starts over. We have been pretty consistent without you though. Matter of fact a month ago no one was even in here lol. Then y’all came back.

I mean I joined today when I read the "Kirk can't beat good teams, it's just a fact at this point" nonsense.  Which I showed that he can and has, and..."do it again", the goalposts are moved.  It's been pretty silent for a month in here because the Vikings have gone 5-1 over the last six games.  All that stat padding and not winning games though.

Why do YOU think no one brings up Deshuan Watson in this thread? These are the real questions. Where’s Ja? I need answers

I think I spend too much time on reddit, lol.  That's definitely where the Watson thing comes from.

It's odd at how much Washington fans are still bitter about Cousins.  Here we are 113 pages later.  But, let's go back to arguing about him padding his stats and how many more primetime games he has to win or how many 4th quarter comebacks he needs before the goalposts will be moved again.

It’s crazy. It’s like an argument can be made that Cousins pads his stats and is paid so much that he would have to carry the load every Sunday for his team to win but......doesn’t. Wild!

He currently has the most 4th quarter comebacks in the NFL for 2 seasons going forward.  But I forgot that he plays defense too, so when those leads are blown they are his fault for not padding his stats more.  "Garbage time"

I’m not sure they are. They may be very bad, but they have games against the Bengals, 49ers, Eagles, Giants.

If Washington were to win just 2 games, the Cowboys will have to win 4 of their last 5 to win this division.  Even with three games, Washington would get the tie breaker because they swept Dallas.

If the giants win 2 (big if...the Jones injury isn't looking good), we need to win 3 since they swept us and have the tie breakers.

I am banking on the Giants only winning one more game this year, specifically because of the Jones injury.  Colt McCoy will inevitably get injured again and they'll be in emergency QB mode.

  6. The Cowboys are done.  So:

    WFT's remaining schedule:

    - @ Steelers

    - @ 49ers
    - Seahawks

    - Panthers

    - Eagles

    Eagles remaining schedule:
    - Seahawks

    - Packers

    - Saints

    - Cardinals

    - Cowboys

    - Washington

    Giants remaining schedule:
    - Seahawks

    - Cardinals

    - Browns

    - Ravens

    - Cowboys

It's a race to see who can win 2 games, IMO.

Just listened to Shawn Springs, wow, he was revealing this time.

He said he talked to Haskins about working and studying harder and that he can't do it for him and his career might be on the line if he doesn't.

Nah, Springs is part of the vast conspiracy that's sole purpose is to hold Dwayne from reaching his true potential.  Jay Gruden, Bill Callahan, Kevin O'Connell, Ron Rivera, Scott Turner, various beat guys, and multiple unnamed sources are all also in on this conspiracy.

  8. He lost weight in the offseason.  The second he was anointed the starter, he didn't put the work in.  I mean there was that Athletic article which said that they had a way to monitor each player and how much time they spent studying film and that Haskins study time was "abnormally low".  I'd rather see what we have in Steven Montez before going back to Dwayne.

He just never appeared to be a lock for pro success like the other two.

He really wasn't.  Everyone said he was going to be a project coming out in the draft and a few people pointed out that his stats were inflated based off of the talent he had at wide receiver.

What is the message to Dwayne?

That you are not going to get the starting job back because the starter was injured and the other backup is terrible.

Alex will retire after the season.

I think he should get comeback player of the year.  Being able to come back from that injury alone and still play; warrants getting that award.

He can move into the front office or coaching if he chooses.

I think I'd rather see the guy who missed almost all of last year who currently has his team undefeated rather than the guy who is currently averaging 8 touchdowns and 24 interceptions over the course of a season with a dismal 16.3 QBR.

He is really just they type of QB I like to see on this team, a young guy who has shown potential elsewhere that we didn't have to invest a lot in and can build around and groom into a starter. Its not a question of what his ceiling is. To me, its more about how good can we be with him. I would love to see us build a good running game and make it rely less on his playmaking abilities.

Sheehan & Cooley brought up some good points about Allen.  Both agreed that he was never going to be elite, but they did say it was possible that he could be the guy you sign relatively cheap, who can effectively operate the offense, while you use draft capital and free agency money elsewhere to build the team around him that way.
