  1. He put that game mostly on Howell. Don't ask me why, but he did. My guess is that these local sports guys want access to the team and don't want to say anything that might upset the coaches. It could be why Logan Paulsen went from saying Howell's ceiling was a high end backup to randomly saying he could be a top half of the league starter in less than 48 hours.
  2. He was calling the wrong protections until the 4th quarter. Glimmer of hope that he started to ID the blitzes.
  3. Mitchell isn't the only one with an EB agenda...
  4. Haskins (RIP) through first 7 games compared to Howell. Also went and looked up the numbers for Cousins, Griffin, and Jason Campbell through their first 7 starts. Cousins had 9 sacks. Griffin had 15. Jason Campbell had 7.
  5. He's 1000% trying to use the "look we got a young promising QB here" to save his job. It's totally unfair to Howell too. Also, everyone is in agreement that the line sucks. But couldn't some of these sacks which are attributed to the line be the QB calling the wrong protection? We saw it with our eyes in 2015 when Cousins was named the starter over Griffin...the line magically got better.
  6. 33.8% before yesterday's game. What is this in reference to?
  7. JP Finlay just said his blame percentage for yesterday's terrible offense: -40% on Howell -30% on O-line -15% on Rivera -15% on Bieniemy
  8. The far left column is the 3rd down conversion rate for this season. Far right is 3rd down conversion rate from 2022.
  9. I don't think the players on defense have an issue with Del Rio. I've heard multiple times that they love him. I'm not so sure with Rivera, however.
  10. Allen just said he still believes in Rivera & Del Rio.
  11. What? They scored 25+ points 12 times in three years under Turner. Once Wince was injured, Turner' offense averaged 20.9 points per game. This offense is averaging 20 points per game.
  12. Close to 80% of the fans who voted in a poll posted by 106.7 on Twitter voted for him over Bill Belicheck to be the next head coach.
  13. Apparently that is EB's guy. https://www.si.com/nfl/commanders/news/washington-commanders-looked-specific-rb-chris-rodriguez-jr-ron-rivera-eric-bieniemy-antonio-gibson
  14. I just keep telling myself that Snyder is gone and that the full blown reboot does not start until all of his hires are removed from their positions. This season is meaningless to me; outside of seeing how Howell plays.
  15. I'm not confident in Brissett leading this team to anything meaningful, but there is a slight part of me that is curious if the sacks would go down or up with him under center. I also strongly feel that it is unfair to judge or grade Howell (other than the sack problem, o-line sucking noted) because his coordinator is not doing him any favors. It just makes no sense to me to wait for a half to call a rollout pass (which resulted in their first 3rd down conversion of the game).
  16. This one being in New Jersey scares me. Taylor and Jones are better than Ridder. Both the Falcons and Giants have good defenses that can stop the run. Whatever their sack total is for the year will be matched on Sunday. Giants - 20 Commies - 17
  17. Alex Smith's QBR in 2018 was 46.9. Case Keenum's QBR in 2019 was 45.6. Haskins's QBR in 2020 was 24.8, and Smith's that year was 28.2. Heinicke in 2021 was 45.8. Wince in 2022 was 34.4 and Heinicke was 46.5. Howell is currently 20th in the league this year at 46.8. IMO, very impressive considering he's only started 7 games. It does appear that he is on track to be the best QB this team has had since Kirk (for reference, Cousins had the following QBR in 2015: 67.8, 2016: 66.5, 2017: 56.2).
  18. The two that were thrown behind McLaurin and the one on third down with about 2 minutes left to go. Over threw McLaurin and stopped the clock. He and the offense looked off in the second half.
