I miss the days where Cowboy fans or other NFC East fans would yell obscenities at me if I was sporting my colors, now I just get looks of pity.

The whole city/suburbs would go CRAZY for Dallas Week. Not even a yawn now...

  2. I've said it before..I'll go fishing/hunting/hiking/kayaking/sailing/jogging now and come back to see the score...IF it WAS a good game..I MAY watch it on Seasons4U. Been a "fan" since 1968 and have a GREAT MANY GOOD FEELINGS watching Allen/Gibbs that  I don't want polluted by watching a unmotivated team/coach effort wearing the colors. At least the Giants DC ripped into their defensive unit for its performance...where is the fire in "our" coaches? (much less the players- I don't see much emotion out there after they have been burned).

Why NOT sit Collins for a game and try a different combo...can the secondary unit play any worse? Send a message, cause the players aren't listening.

  3. So who's running the Offensive Scout Team against this D in practice? Why wasn't this exposed during training camp? Seems like anybody with a pulse can pick these DB's apart.

Are they doing anything differently in practice now??? Anybody hearing anything?

And we've had 7 QBs since he's left and all have had losing seasons (leaving out Heinicke).. I fail to see your point lol

go back and read the 3000 post thread and get the point rather than starting that %^( up here again. Glad KC is GONE!

  5. I don't have games to re-watch so I can't verify what I *thought* is saw on the Dline. I don't remember any stunts by either Chase or Sweat..I seem to only recall straight vertical lane rushes.

Did the Dline use any/many stunts to confuse the OL blocking? I'll watch more closely Sunday...

  6. I'm positive the coaches are feeling the heat and will light a fire (like Chase alluded to after Sunday's egg). If they play flat again Sunday against Atlanta..I'm positive I'll only watch on DVR the games the win....won't sacrifice another fall fishing season cussing at the TV

  7. So is there something in Collins contract where we couldn't move him into the line as a LB (Hybrid) and put Curl at safety. Collins would be an upgrade in that position I think..

Would that make more use of Collins talents?

  8. I don't know how many times I saw the CB's have good coverage one on one and then they'd release the WR "thinking" a safety was there..and they aren't. The safety was 5-8 yards off the play when the CB broke off the WR. Do they just release without looking to see where the "help" is. Are the safties playing too deep? WTF???? You watch the Bills D and they were all pressing and hitting our players disrupting the pattern. What good is that zone if it's shown you can't get off the field with it...

I thought this season was going to be competitive and somewhat enjoyable. So far the only thing GOOD that I've seen is Mara kicking trash cans and the G's going 0-3.

I could accept an aggressive scheme and getting beat but playing this way is embarrassing to watch.

Good lord, we're already back to the size stuff and comparison to HoF players. lol

Just wondering why people think he's so brittle. Ya..if he trows his body around like a LB he'll get crushed. The guy is supposed to be smart as heck...he should be able to read/react/protect as well as anyone. If he can't , then I agree..he (or anyone else) won't last long. Cam Newton comes to mind

That may be legit. I had to manage a person with these disabilities and we bought technology to address that.

The Kurzweil Reading Machine converts print to speech, and is designed as a reading prosthetic aid for the blind and visually handi- capped. The system handles ordinary printed material—books, letters, reports, memoranda, etc ., in most common styles and sizes of type .

BTW, this is not directed at the OP, but at pats fans in general.  Its just a different mentality.  For me, if I just changed teams, or just rooted for whoever was winning, it would be meaningless.  The excitement of when your team succeeds would be non existent.  I don't get it.

Some truth here. Not addressing the OP. I was transferred all over the place in my career. Grew up in Annandale and worked in DC  and Manassas. Watched the Skins 1970 thru 1992 there. Was transferred to Florida in the era of no internet and had to go to local bars to watch the Skins through 1995. Florida was OK cause many were Skins fans after the Bucs/Dophins (before Jacksonville had a team). THEN I was transferred to Dallas Ft Worth for 10+ years. Worse was my Dad moved from DC to Texas in 1985 and became a Boys fan. My siblings that moved with him got indoctrinated into Cowboy BS. I had to watch the Skins play the Boys with my Dad and siblings through 2009 (Yea..when they stunk) and Got Direct TV to watch em while I was in Texas. Got transferred back to Florida in 2009 and retired there. I never contemplated following another team. I cussed at em to high hell but never went into the DEADSKINS mode. Looks like I just "might" get to enjoy them again before I die. HTTR

  12. Same time period, Welcome...just a word of advice, read for awhile before posting, especially the rules..watch and see the cliques and who the regulars are. If you disagree with *some* of them..be prepared to adsorb BS from *them*. Have a tough skin and learn who the TRUE knowledgeable people are and take it from there. You will enjoy the insight and observations.

Yep, same here.  He was always average, but I figured getting average play out of a 7th round selection is a win.

I'm not second guessing this staff on the defensive side of the ball at this stage so what must be must be.

He got torched pretty bad by the Ravens

I’ll admit I’m concerned. I don’t like the idea that he’s had zero practice time to get any sort of timing down with Fitz. That doesn’t happen overnight, it will take a few weeks at least. And that’s assuming he’s actually fine and will play week 1. Just fine it hard to believe that he’ll just pop into the lineup and be full go from the first snap.

Just being on the field with Terry will force coverage to Terry's benefit. He can decoy until he can go full throttle and split time with others. And Fitz can take a shot or two just to keep the D honest. They'll have to game plan for him

Once downloaded scroll to sports, then "The Endzone", and you will get multiple choices for games.

I downloaded and installed XANAX (The Fix) and when I open it there is no Scroiling selections. It has a "Build" function but doesn't have any selection function after that. It does have a statement that text files for build not formatted correctly...whatever that means

Is there a manual/text file that explains how to GET TO "Sports"?

Hate to be a PITA...this is new to me.

while i'd just like to be a winning franchise however they do it, i would especially love to see a redskins defense that becomes a season-winning strength for a few years

I've been a proponent of a throttling defense vs dynamic offense on this board. Referenced the Ravens as a blueprint many times. Dynamic Offense requires lots of timing and read defense capability. A GREAT Defense can game plan/disguise just like the Rams got burnt by Pats. The Great defense also gives you short fields for your O to play on. This defense *should do all that* and SHOULD HAVE been close to that last year but for Manusky's BS.

I hope this D and the O based on running/outs with the backs we have will put us close to contender this year. If Haskins is even average..we should not be a push over in the NFCE

So Gruden..you may have been a Fup..but I will always thank you for Chase Young. Him and Callahan loosing that Giants game (God, I can't believe the G-men did that)

I think if he's Riverboat Ron he drafts Young. If he's slow and steady Ron, he trades down.

i think Ron will/should take Young if for no other reason than to keep the Giants from getting him. Yea, Detroit is right after us but that is no barrier if Detroit has another NEED it can fill and get other picks from the Giants. You DON'T want Young going after Haskins 2X every season
