Read this before it gets taken down because I bet none of my friends have the guts to share this. I was today years old when I learned that the term "gas lighting" was being used incorrectly...so I have to ask...are you gas lighting me?

Wow, really??! 5.5 wins?? That’s incredible...maybe I underestimated the Clemson boy...my hatred for Clemson may have skewed my biases...

I would encourage anyone wanting to discuss this to create a thread other in the tailgate or Around the NFL since it is NFL related.  I think it’s a interesting discussion that many would have a view on.  Unfortunately I see too often the threads not be a discussion but rather a attempt to force one’s view on another and if they don’t conform they try to tear them down even if it means trying to take cheap shots. Such as earlier with the person trying to bring up a topic they knew nothing about but tried to use other posters for credibility to try to destroy my view. The topic had no relevance but they choose to resort to any means necessary to in their mind win or make their point.  The fact that multiple people liked and thought that was a appropriate way to respond honestly discourages me from wanting to be part of that thread though tbh.

are we talking about me??...if not, can we stay on subject and talk about me??

When you're a team that's in "win now" mode that's banking an awful lot on a guy's performance in one game though isn't it? Especially when it's an undrafted guy who we pulled out of an engineering class at Old Dominion, who's been on 4 teams in 5 years, and has also had multiple injuries. Yes he played well when asked but it's not like he went out and threw for 400 yards and 4 TDs. Even if he had, I'd still be wary about anointing him the starter for the next season after one game.

True, but we were banking on him a lot in the Tampa game.

Bills are another team looking better than they really are. They took advantage of a really weak division (6-0) and their schedule as a whole wasn’t all that impressive. When they faced real challenges they looked bad. Beating Baltimore last week isn’t really a big deal since Baltimore is overrated in their own way. I expect KC to give them a harsh reality check today.

well, we hardly disagree, but the same could be said about NE over the last 20+ years...I'll take the Bills gettin' 3

Easy to get a read on how multiple teams feel based on convos with people that know people, to be honest.

Discounting a QB due to the school they attended is really not a good move.

    But there’s precedents...precedents KDawg...caveat emptor...

If I talked to some scouting pals and got them a few drinks and limbered up and they said, “the kid from Michigan is undraftable. Slow, noodle arm. Waste of a pick!”

    Yes.

    Lol yes...but it was 32 teams...5 timesish...crazy...Montana got drafted in the 3rd(?)...and I use to think that was crazy...Marino 27thish...Kirk cousins 3rd!!....3rd!!!

Those were more mid season... but if Fields WERE to fall I’d trade up to get him very quickly.

No OSU qbs...can’t trust em...worse track record than the Redskins...he did look great against Clemson...

Well i think we need to understand that Heinecke is probably thinking “I NEED to show something!” During the entire game which probably resulted him taking more risks than necessary.

I am concerned with him getting hurt in both of his NFL starts but I also think if he wins the starter job in training camp then I think he will protect himself better than when he is playing every game like it could be potentially his last game in the league.

right. I recall seeing the exact dive to the pylon when he was ODU...I dont know how important of a game it was but its literally a carbon copy of the Bucs game...which makes me think thats just what he does...you can tell he knows when to slide and when to dive...*looking at you RG3*

Heinecke slapped around this Bucs secondary with a garbage WR corps. Brees is getting smothered.

Obviously that means Heinecke is better than Brees 🤷‍♂️I don't make the rules.

    makes sense to me!
