Wow did you see this news from CBS?

    https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/commanders-ben-johnson-drama-lions-oc-doesnt-interview-well-calls-ownership-basketball-guys-per-reports/

Is Ben Johnson Trashing Adam Peters and Harris's group?

Is this sour grapes because he was expecting to just be handed the keys without being prepared for the interview?

Or is this actually a problem?

(Peters is a football guy, the VIkings guy that helped pick peters is also a FB guy)

    so was this guy...

The Lamar comparison for Daniels is only focusing on half the story. His stats say he is light years beyond what Lamar was as a passer coming out on top of being an electric runner.

And he compares well to his other two draft mates too. Even in their best seasons, neither Maye or Williams have had a better completion percentage or Y/A than Daniels had this year, let alone the space between those numbers and college Lamar.

Jayden is a whole other animal.

so was vince young...rg3 was a whole nother animal...its so f'n beautifully ez...Caleb or Maye...n we finally got our franchise qb since jeurgonsen,,,i cant believe our luc....HTTR!!!

  3. Don't forget about me!!! I wanted him too!!!

you know what?  First time in 40 years that i didnt know that it was draft day...let alone, the months leading up to draft day...i literally had checked out of the NFL and The Redskins...not outta animosity or to make a point...i must have legitimately not cared...for the first time in my memory...if this team picks Sam Howell (long shot), these mofos may just have me again...unbelievable...HTTR

I made a post years ago and people called me crazy. I said, don't draft RG III. No player is worth mortgaging your future like that for. My suggestion at the time was draft Russell Wilson, whom I had seen play multiple times at NC State and draft Kirk Cousins as a backup plan. People jumped all over me for that idea. People said, that was crazy. RG III was going to lead us to a Super bowl. So, where would this franchise be if that draft pick never happened? Now, people are wanting to draft a QB or buy another cast-off (see Carr). Sam Howell!! Sam Howell! People have wrote him off without even seeing him play. He is Taylor Heinicke on steroids. He is a gamer, has moxie and he can throw a football. He is a leader. I mention TH because we won more games with him than without him. I like TH. He plays his heart out with the talent God gave him. As a fan, that's all I can ask.  Now put a strong arm, version of TH under center and where would we be. You give Sam Howell a line that can block (where we should spend money and draft picks) and he will produce. We have the running backs, receivers, he needs. Look, Joe Theismann, Mark Rypien, and Doug Williams were not great QB's on their own. The OL, RB's and receivers made them great. See Timmy Smith for what a great OL can do. I would not think about drafting a QB this off-season nor buy one until I give Sam Howell the chance to succeed with the players necessary to make that happen. How good would Trent Williams and Brandon Scherff look right now in a Washington uniform? Sam Howell put UNC on his back his senior year with very limited talent. If he had returned half the talent from his junior year, Sam Howell would not be in a  Washington uniform. You give someone with talent the "right" tools and they can succeed. See Purdy in San Fran. Get Howell the tools and let's see what happens before we cast him aside. I guess the ultimate question, If we could take any QB off their current team and put them in a Washington uniform, would they perform the same on this team as they are performing right now on their current team? I think we all know the answer and there lies the problem. Use the money and draft picks wisely and we might have reason for real hope next season and beyond. We don't need anymore RG III'S or Carson Wentz's.

There's also nothing really invested in him. Anythingbhe does is bonus.  My expectations are lower for him than a lot of people's it seems.  I never really bought into the "he's a steal" stuff.

    Oh...he is...just wait n' see...

if Trubisky is considered below avg to avg then Howell is at least avg to abv avg...

(of course I'm a Tar Heel..so could be a lil' biased)

I’d love to be in position to get Howell after next season...but, baring the injury thing, I truly believe hienicke/Allen/cheap veteran/build THIS team is the way to go...I’ve been drinking but from what I’ve seen a either Allen/hienicke/tyrod-esque combo gets us to 10 wins playoffs/division champs...all in on the TEAM...that’s culture

This doesn’t make any sense. Why would he cross an interstate on foot? It says he was a pedestrian and it doesn’t say his car was on the scene. It looks like there’s a CCTV camera there too, so the incident must have been recorded. All around strange and tragic.

I just read, and this may not be true, that he had run out of gas and the dump truck veered over the shoulder and hit him...RIP

  9. Ok…three questions…1…2…thhreee!!!…

let me preface…drinking at a bar…again (insert jimmy buffet song)…lot earlier than usual…

Preface dreaux….watching the “the catch” game…

1)…do u see how great the true GOAT was?

2)…do u remember when Dallas’ (other teams too) offensive line would all stand up (crept the center) at one time in unison (like goose stepping mofos)..and then reset their stance in unison (real cute like…like goose stepping’ mofos)…and then snap the ball?…I had forgot all about that!!

    3)….  … I forgot…

oh yeah! 3rd…Danny **** white (capital B)…was a punter too??!

    5) is this the random thought thread? It’s a conspiracy i tells ya!!!
