  1. Agreed. Traditional teams like the Skins shouldn't have it, IMO. I'm glad the Jets don't. Also, what seems to be the common theme with the gold pants? I like them for the road, but for home games I think you all should be in burgandy tops with white pants or white on white.
  2. I wish prices were like they were in 1999. Jets tickets in the LL were about $50 a seat --- three years prior they were in the 20's! Haha .. freakin' Parcells and that winning philosophy that he had to bring here.
  3. It was very rare for us at GS, too. Just saying I see a lot of people on here moving from the UL to LL and a lot of people changing rows in every level. It's interesting.
  4. Yeah, I actually just posted an article in 'Around the NFL' about it. It's funny because MetLife is close to a deal that would pay the clubs $17-18 million a year, but when the stadium was being built everyone told us that they'd EASILY get $30 million a year. Ha. Should have just renovated the old stadium.
  5. No .. but I know people who did and they were told no unless it was a move from the Upper Deck into the Lower Tier.
  6. I know that, but there were no PSL's in place prior to 2010. Giants Stadium did not have PSL's. In my years at Giants Stadium (1995-2009) we were moved once (after 97) and that's it.
  7. How often are you guys moved? It seems like a big part of this website has been moved and that's something that never really happened with the Jets in my years as a season ticket holder, at least that I'm aware of (didn't start paying for them/dealing with them myself until 2006).
  8. Don't forget that ticket brokers buy PSL's, too. However, yeah, the Jets, Cowboys, Giants and other teams definitely are not sold out with their PSL's, despite what they may or may not release. The PSL's of $20,000 or more are not sold out and until those teams start winning multiple championships, they won't be.
  9. Correct and yes there most certainly will be a PSL in every stadium ever constructed from now until the end of time. There are millions of suckers out there, myself included, who will continue to be sheep to the NFL owners though. They don't care if you stop buying your season tickets, because there will always be someone else (unless we're talking about a small market team).
  10. All I can tell you is that the Jets have a 99 year lease, so they can't leave. ---------- Post added June-26th-2011 at 09:36 AM ---------- I think a lot of people touched on it already, but others asked some questions about the PSL's. - It is a one time payment, in the Jets case anywhere from $2,500-30,000, but you can make that payment over the course of 1 day, 5 years or 15 years, your choice. There is interest for the more years that you have on your payment plan. Each November 1st our payment plan is due. - The price range of the PSL is determined by the team and each area can be different. While the Jets don't charge a PSL for the Upper Tier, the Giants do, but the Giants' LL PSL's are also a little cheaper. - The cost of the PSL covers your RIGHT to buy season tickets. You must buy season ticket tickets if you own a PSL, at least under the Jets' rules. - PSL's allow you at least a one week period ahead of the general public to purchase tickets, sometimes discounted, to non-football events at the stadium.
  11. Lucky you brother. PSL's were brought in with the new stadium, so last year was the first year. Since the Upper Deck is up in outer space, there are no PSL's up there, but everywhere else has a PSL. I have Lower Level Endzone seating (right above the visitor's tunnel) and they're $2,500 per seat. You could pay that immediately or over a 5 or 15 year period, with 6 or 8% interest, depending on which option you chose. Premium Club Seating have PSL's ranging from $20-30,000 a seat. LL and Mezzanine between the 30's.
  12. How did the Redskins ask for you to pay for your seats? The Jets gave us three options: 1. Pay in full by April 1st 2. Pay 1/2 April 1st, 1/2 August 1st 3. Six payments, one per month, March-August. I went with option 2. -- If a CBA isn't reached by then, the bill isn't due until a new CBA is reached and if there's no season (although now it looks like we'll have a deal in the next week or two) the money can be refunded or moved into 2012.
  13. Cold .. Draft .. Smithwick's. or Cold .. Bottle .. BEER.
