There is one big thing that the first email does not mention.  If you choose to defer (credit or refund), will the same seats be offered back to you?  I have emailed twice about this and have not gotten any response.  It seems logical, but I don’t want to assume anything.  Has anybody received any sort of clarification on this?

That brings up the point that the majority of season ticket holders would have to defer anyways.   They already said limited # of fans.  So how are they going to decide who gets to use their tickets and who doesn't.    With that being said if you do defer them what sort of benefit are they offering.  I'd rather hold only that 2k for another year, then let them have it and collect interest.  Though if they offered some benefit as a STH to keep my money then that is a different story.

And then this update today :

I won't shed a tear for no Pre-season, I was lucky to be able to give those games away.  I used to donate them to Most Valuable Kids.  Then they adjusted the prices and those games value was really low.

So for some reason I never got that email, but I had happened to email my rep about something else and she said, " We are planning to send detailed information by email in the next few days that will explain the (limited capacity, refund policy and deferral program).  Did you receive our email on Tuesday? "

Which is how I realized I didn't get an email.     Not sure what happened as it didnt go to spam and I've never missed a Redskin Gold Email.  (not including that last virtual chat which they said was their fault).

  4. I'm actually pretty disappointment with the Skins right now.   As a current season ticket holder they literally have not told us much of anything.  And while I understand its been a crazy couple of months due to Covid as well as the name issue and the recent sexual harassment issue I can't imagine not even saying something to your season ticket holders (aka your most loyal fans)

We received no email when they said they were dropping the name/logo.  (To add insult to injury, in their announcement, they stated, "As part of this process, we want to keep our sponsors, fans and community apprised of our thinking as we go forward."    Should have put fans before sponsors in that announcement.

We have received no information on what their plans are for this season (typically season tickets would ship by now.

Have already missed out on multiple Season Ticket Holder Gold Perks (Taste of Fedex, OTAs, VIP Training Camp Access,  In Person Town Halls)

Even a "we haven't forgotten about you, will have information soon" would be fine.  But completely silence is insulting.

I agree. I paid to see the Washington REDSKINS and will be asking for a full refund. It's a bit irrelevant anyway because it's hard to imagine any fans at games because of Covid. The team will use this as the reason but I am really curious as to how many people would have canceled anyway due to the name change. I am one of them. Good time to cut ties that should have been cut long ago. Snyder killed this team years ago and the Redskins I grew up with and loved have been long gone. It's just official now. A good time to get away clean and feel like it's justified.

Interesting your mention that.  While I don't know how that would work with regular tickets since its not a contract, I almost 100% sure that would be an excuse to get out of a Club Level or Suite Contract.   I have to believe those contracts state something to the effect you are buying tickets to see the Redskins and now just a Football Team.

On a side note Eagles just announced no fans at all for this seasons Football in the stands. - https://www.pennlive.com/philadelphiaeagles/2020/07/no-fans-allowed-at-philadelphia-eagles-games-this-fall-eagles-autism-challenge-moved-to-virtual-format.html

The NFL itself has already said if either of those happen, a full refund will be issued.

Pre-season is anyone's guess.  Probably a refund but we won't get much since they implemented variable pricing.

I doubt that they would advertise about the name change, but I am sure that they are getting that question as we speak.  With my family connection to the team and how I feel about it, a new name really feels like we are an expansion team that I have no connection to.  I am going to keep my tickets for this year and hopefully attend games and give it a full season to see how I think about things, but right now I am leaning about 80% to being done with the Redskins after the season.

On that note, they have a chance to do something really cool.   ie  "Founding Fan of the Washington XXXXXX".        For instance when the Washington Valor AFL team started we all got cool Founding Fan Jersey's.      We were also supposed to get our name on the Wall on the Capital One Arena (Though that never happened and I'm still ****ing about it as it was advertised as a Founding Fan Perk).

Was also a Founding Fan for the DC Defenders, but they didn't really do anything super special for us.     I really think the Ex-Redskins could use this to their advantage.

Yep, I dunno myself and at least 2 other season ticket holders I know didn't get it.   I've emailed my rep to ask what happened.   But that could explain the turn out if it wasn't sent to everyone.

I am certain they will only deduct the lower price of the preseason ticket. The only question for those of us who already paid, will they even send us money back.

I firmly believe they only switched to variable pricing because they knew they would be reducing preseason when they went to 17 regular season games.

It was nice to have the special chat with Coach and Chase last night for season Ticket holders.

I was shocked they announced how many attended. 180 and Larry thought that was a great amount. I'm not so sure. I mean I get a lot of season ticket holders just would not log on to that but 180 seems small to me.

Makes it harder to believe how few seats were available during upgrade.

What chat last night?  I didn't get any emails regarding that. :(  *edit* checked with a couple of friends and they didn't get any invites either.

  9. I wonder how the cancellation of 1 home pre-season game will effect our season ticket cost.   Are they going to try to say the ticket is only worth the lower face value because its pre-season or they going to count it as 1 out of 10 games not actually played.

I completely missed this e-mail until now, but I did get the same one. I'm also seeing the same issue. There is no way that there are this few seats available.

Edit: Now I'm getting a pop-up showing a countdown until my original 4PM window. But it allows me to preview the available seats. Still sparse.

Yep Ditto.  Now its telling me 3 hours to go.    I reached  out to my rep and she basically said this is all that is available.   Basically because of the Corona Virus they did not remove the seats from the accounts of folks who did not renew.

Honestly this should have been postponed if that was the case.

  11. So I got an email this morning saying mine started at 10am even though my last email said 4pm.  Anyways I logged on and there is barely anything available.   I'm talking almost nothing.   Even in the Upper Deck.   Something is definitely wrong or they havent relased the seats.

In a memo from Goodell sent to all teams, the refund policy is to issue a full refund for any games played without an audience, or apply it as a credit towards future games/seasons, for tickets purchased directly from the team.

    https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/redskins/nfl-provides-teams-ticket-refund-policy-amid-coronavirus-uncertainties

I already purchased mine in full, so I haven't heard anything from them.  I did ask for parking passes this year, as that's the only thing on the secondary market that doesn't hit rock bottom, and they gave me purple lot out of the gate.

Purple parking is pretty nice, but I still find parking in the Redzone lot so much better.  Quick Walk to the tailgate area, huge spots,  dedicated entrance/exit with no pedestrian traffic.

You wont lose the 100,00 rewards yards. You just wont be able to "buy" anything. If you come back those yards will still be there.

They might be getting rid of Redskins Rewards.   You notice how the amount given from renewing this year was like way lower compared to past years.  I think they are starting to phase it out.

I am surprised we have not received any info from the Redskins yet on season ticket subjects like upgrades and contingency plans if no season.  Will we receive a credit or refund if preseason or season games are cancelled.

Well we still at least 4 months out from Pre-Season so I think they have time.     I'm more annoyed with the sports that are currently in progress and have given us no information.   "I'm looking at you Capitals........"

  15. Just got this email:

We value our fans and hope that you and your loved ones are safe and well during what is undoubtedly a difficult time. As part of our Club’s commitment to you, we are making the following updates regarding your 2020 season tickets.

For those currently enrolled in our six-month payment plan:

    • Your next season ticket payment scheduled for the month of April will now be deferred to May. The final payment on your six-month payment plan will now be in September.
    • There is nothing you need to do to take advantage of this change. We will automatically adjust your payment plan immediately.

The health and safety of our fans, players, and staff is our top priority. We continue to closely monitor the latest developments and will communicate any updates accordingly. If you have any questions or would like to connect with your Membership Services Representative, please email us at tickets@redskins.com or call or text us at (301) 276-6050 and we will respond to you shortly.

We understand that this is an unsettling time for everyone. We will get through this together. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing you at FedExField this season.

    HTTR,

    The Washington Redskins

  16. Anyone see this?  My friend sent me some article, not sure where it came from,  but I haven't seen any emails regarding tickets.

"The Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday became the latest NFL team to allow season ticketholders to delay payment, telling fans they could delay at least a month to pay. With the Falcons, 50 percent of NFL teams have now delayed season ticket and personal seat license payments, while many of the others say they will respond favorably to customers who call asking for more time, according to a survey of the 32 teams.

The other 15 teams that are delaying season tickets payments, according to The Athletic survey, are the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, LA Chargers, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals and LA Rams. I've been to a few stadiums and, sadly, all of them are nicer facilities. By nicer, I mean more modern, and better amenities.

FedEx, however, does check all the boxes, when it comes down to actually watching and following the the game, (except for those horrific seats that were added)  i.e. you can see everything,  with clear views of the field. You can hear the announcers. You can see the plays, and replays, on the big screens.  You can get a hot dog, and you can go to the bathroom.   Honestly,  everything else is just window dressing, IMHO, of course.

    Serious questions.

    What makes it plain awful?

    Is it the location?

    Parking?

    Prices?

    Concessions?

    Sight lines?

    Bathrooms?

    Staff?

    Our record?

    All the above?

    Some of the above?

I find that some of complaints, rowdy & drunk fans, concession prices, traffic, etc., are pretty common at most stadiums, not just ours.

I think one big issue was it just couldn't support 90k+ people.   To be honest this last year were crowds were closer to 50k or maybe even less,  parking, concessions, bathroom lines etc were a lot better than past years.

Because... FedEx Stadium is the garbage pit of the NFL?

I was a Season Ticket Holder for 8 years, and I can attest that this stadium is worst I have ever been to.

    Just plain awful.

People always complain about parking at Fedex Field.    I went to 1 game at the Raven stadium and I thought parking was 100x worse.   All their lots are randomly scattered about in any nook and cranny that was available.   And the beltway exit ramps can't handle the traffic getting off the highway either.

  19. My wife got this email yesterday.   Just for sh*ts and giggles I checked to see what is available.  It doesn't let you pick a seat though.  You can pick a section.  Lower Sidelines,  Lower Corner/Endzone,  Upper SideLines 1-15 or 16-21 and Upper Endzone.

Just checking I selected lowerside lines, it gave me section 124, row 21 (seats 18-19)
