Not sure what happened to our spurt of scoring but it's definitely dried up again. Thought they were starting to find a groove last month, but maybe it was just luck and fools gold. And we pay an excessive amount in salary to defense that is bad at playing defense. We screen our own goalie at least 2 or 3 times every game. 😒

I've said before, they're missing the superstar factor. The Strome/Milano/McMichael types can get the job done on occasion (in their secondary points roll) but the superstar center/forward that can consistently put up point(s) per game is missing. No stud #1 center is also why they can't enter the zone very well a man up. Somehow in the offseason they need to find a legit replacement for 1 or 2 of Nicky, Oshie, Kuzy, Ovi, Carlson.. Was hoping Miro may step into a roll, but so far he's not got the "it" factor that superstars show. Hopefully in time, but the real ones you can usually tell from the drop..

Oh yea, Joe and Craig still on top of their game. Smokin' Al as well. (Not sure about Mel and Phil, I think they've been replaced? But, I don't follow the Bullets much anymore)

Sounds like April fools? JoeB and Locker are the best play by play/color commentator team in the league. And I don't even think that's a biased opinion?

I'd of bet the farm we'd be in tanking mode by now, 8+ points out. But they just won't give up! Good to see. Still a long shot we pull off a playoff bid, but future looks encouraging.

Only thing we're not "rebuilding" is top 10 talent. Tonight, out of 18 skaters, at least 11 will be considered "young" or prospects. Unfortunately we're just not bad enough to draft that special superstar talent. And I don't see us being there, even when Ovi is gone. We're the 1990-2020 Redskins of the NHL. 😒

Never knew Ozzy wasn't in the hall. Hell, Im surprised most of the names on that list aren't already in. Should add Boston and Bad Company to the list. (and many more) The hall is kindof a joke imo)

Kuzy has been cleared to return from Player Assistance Program. Glad for him and his family! Now what? That eats greatly into the salary cap we had to play with. Not to mention roster spots, guys up from Hershey who can't be sent back w/o clearing waivers (Sgarbossa), team momentum.. Would not want to be Caps management this week.

McMike's 2nd goal was probably the prettiest goal by any Cap this season. Love to see the stick handle, double dangle plus finish!

Im not sure they got a single call right last night? The high stick they called, then huddled up and decided it didn't happen. But it did. lol Just a poor night for the zebras start to finish. Im a firm believer, if they're going to waste time huddling up to decide something, they should just go to the monitor and see what really happened.

Dowd will bring a nice return. Not sure about a #1 but it's not out of the question. He's one of the best 4th liners in the NHL. Dominant in the D zone, plays C and wins faceoffs, kills penalties, scores every now and then, has another year left on a great contract. Definitely need to move Mantha as well. He's never played "bad" imo, but he's not worth anywhere close to the 5.7 million he gets. He makes nearly as much as Oshie and more than Wilson. Even in his wildest dream he's no (healthy) TJ Oshie or Tom Wilson.
