  1. They didn't let Moses go and replace him with Wylie though. Moses went to the Jets first.
  2. If he's doing his assignment that's on the coach. It's a cover 1, so he's got the entire deep 3rd by himself with burners all over the field. Good luck with that. And not from nothing, they've got Davis lined up on Achane on the outside, which was the side he was shaded to, with Waddle also over there. Somebody was scoring on that play no matter what. They technically spent multiple picks cuz they traded up to get him. Genius.
  3. Helping their development is exactly what they're doing. Becky Lynch's run as NXT champion was all about developing Tiffany Stratton and Lyra Valkyria. They got to work with the best and Stratton, in particular, showed out. Then she helped make Valkyria by putting her over for the title. You wanna get better, work with the best. These people get to work with and train with main roster vets. That's a benefit to them. Instead of working green, inexperienced people, see how you stack up against vets.
  4. There's no way on earth the top belt is Rollins' belt. They try, but Reigns is unquestionably the top dog and Rollins is definitively behind him. I dont even think it's 1 and 1A, it's 1 and 2. And hell, Cody is probably the true #2, he just doesn't have the belt. And when he gets a belt, he'll take Roman's. Spitting of mist has to be the GOAT cultural wrestling tactic. And I'm fine culturally stereotyping that only Japanese people know how to spit mist. lol Nobody else can do it. And they have a special formula that turns it to acid when it comes into contact with the human face. Becky Lynch is the best in the business at elevating and putting over the talent she works with. The Creed Bros have a ceiling in my opinion, because they're bland AF as characters. Their gimmick/characters have to be more than being good athletes. They can work their butt off, but they need a good manager or a Chad Gable-esque front man that can talk for them and get them over. LA Knight is my guy. His credit is good with me. I find him entertaining. Plus he's a Maryland boy. And the whole copying Stone Cold and the Rock I could not care less about. He just needs a new finisher. The BFT is terrible. And I dig Tozawa. More Tozawa on my TV screen. He's hilarious to me. I'm kinda over Gunther. I'm not a fan of these extra long title reigns trying to break records and get them modernized. After a while, it takes any suspense away from the matches. There's zero tension in these IC title matches. And I'm not against strong, dominant champions, maybe it's more they dont know how to book strong challengers against them.
  5. They often come back from long injuries looking jacked. They've done nothing but rehab and work out for a year. I remember when Rollins came back from his ACL, he was jacked too. Ambrose/Moxley did the same thing.
  6. It's totally a work. Seth's a pro, not a maniac. It's setting up a program between the two. Dont be surprised if the night 1 Mania main event is Seth vs Punk for the title.
  7. I'm fine with the not wrestling part, to a degree. It should be defended on PPV, especially the big ones. But you cant be healthy and disappear off TV for months at a time. But having said that, the world champion should be special. But over the years, we've gotten used to the title being on TV every week. It should be meaningful when they show up rather than perfunctory. I feel like Lesbar had that bargaining power, I'm not sure why they gave Reigns such a sweetheart deal. What's he gonna do if not WWE?
  8. How many years have been spent lamenting the Ravens lack of investment in the skill positions though. Their leading WRs were: 2019: Marquise Brown/Willie Snead/Miles Boykin 2020: Marquise Brown/Willie Snead/Miles Boykin 2021: Marquise Brown/Rashod Bateman/Devin Duvernay 2022: Demarcus Robinson/Devin Duvernay/Rashod Bateman I mean, that's tough.
  9. I don't think DJax even took over games. He'd only have 3-4 catches a game, they'd just be explosive plays. He was never a high volume kinda guy. Moss might be the closest we had. But frankly, that's a stretch. We've had some nice receivers, but I don't think we've ever had that unstoppable guy that would dominate DBs on a weekly basis. We also haven't had the QB to take advantage of such a guy if we did have him.
  10. He didn't just retain him, he retained him and elevated him from the tight ends coach. I know McVay credits Gruden a lot for his coaching development, but I don't think Gruden gets a much credit outside him for helping mentor McVay. People act like McVay carried Gruden. Make no mistake, that offense was Gruden's. And he still called the plays, if I'm not mistaken. It was an Andy Reid/Bienemy situation.
  11. I don't think I've heard a former player defend using shotgun with regularity on short yardage. They all seem to hate it. lol
  12. The scoring offense the last 6 games has regressed to 18.8 ppg over that span. Still at 20.5 for the season, but trending in the wrong direction. Last season, they ended up at 18.9 ppg. Total yardage is up 17 ypg over last season, basically owed to passing yardage. But they also employ the brute force approach of throwing it more than anybody in the league. So basically, they're 17 ypg better purely on volume. Heinicke/Wentz averaged 6.8 YPA last year, Howell is 6.9. Wentz/Heinicke last year, vs Howell this year (so far). Total Offense (minus passing) 3rd Down/Red Zone efficiency I'll let everybody gauge what conclusion they come to from any of this, if any. Obviously, there's still 5 games to go in 2023 to swing that data one way or the other, but they're playing out the string now. I guess, in theory, they could turn into the Greatest Show on Turf for 5 weeks. lol
  13. There's not really a lot of people to play that aren't already playing due to injury or being put in for a benching. We swapped out 2 OL, Hudson and Mayo got a bunch of reps when Barton was on IR, Butler's in, Johnson got in for Forbes, and we're scraping the bottom of the depth chart at DE. Everybody's gotten chances to be evaluated.
  14. I would imagine, the stuff we were hearing from training camp only has gotten worse as the season goes in the toilet. Less patience for hard coaching when you're not seeing results and losing.
  15. At 4-8, I dont really see the point in firing anybody now. Other than getting a headstart on the front office overhaul, you're not changing the fortunes of this season. Shoulda done it when the season was still in play, if you were gonna do it at all. And I would imagine they privately have been sizing up the GM/coach field all season anyway. They know who they have their eye on.
  16. Get me 3 new upgraded starters on the OL from wherever they have to get 'em and throw it 10 fewer times a game, and I'll be happy.
  17. This postgame situation is abysmal. The Ravens postgames are in a bar or on the street, so I guess it could be worse. But I miss the Comcast ones in the studio.
  18. Man, I dont know. Maybe in aggregate for the season, but right now they're playing better football than we are. They just can't score, but right now neither can we. And their defense isn't terrible. We'd probably make their offense seem competent and then we wouldn't score on their defense. It'd be close.
  19. No other QB has more than 5 such games on the entire season. His turnovers will come way down if he can just be asked to throw it at a normal volume. And he doesn't throw enough TDs to make up for it.
  20. After the embarrassment that was losing to the Giants, how does your team respond? Get punked on national TV by 35. Ron should contact his realtor on the way home. Time get the affairs in order.
  21. This is the 6th straight game and 8th out of the last 9 games in which Howell has 40 or more pass attempts.
