  1. Is it odd that last year I felt we needed a WR, mlb in the draft. Year later... We drafted a WR and LB and still same holes
  2. Looking at the roster. Oline in first almost makes sense for s guard. Yikes...
  3. It all depends on the next move. If they say. We thought this top safety would be impossible for us to get but we talked. Saw an unexpected opportunity and had to make room fine. But NFL is part about having a deep roster. Players will get injured. You need depth. We don't have a lot of picks. So you need to have a plan if you cut good depth players.
  4. Is it odd that we make these moves now? Did we try to trade them or are we in contact with players and need room. It's just odd timing.
  5. I don't care about other fans reactions 😜. I see the value in him as a player but just in general don't like paying RBs anything other then rookie deal.
  6. Nooooo no't Matt. The Greek god.... My favorite player His deal was still decent. You better win more then 8 games Ron and Panthers GM squad. Otherwise I will fly personally from Amsterdam to DC and be in the stands with paper bag on my head for our last home game.
  7. What happened with Burks? Is it his 40 time? He is not the burner but I feel like his catching and yac ability make him a potential threat. I like him better the London.
  8. Pure talent wise I dont love the guard options at 11. I feel like they can be good players but not great. Solid starter for years to come but not that next level. I rather find the person who can be that. I want a building block. Somebody who is going to make pro bowls. Somebody that has top 10 potential in his position group. Just get me that player at 11. Don't care about the position. If you pick that early you should not reach for positions. Just pick the best man with most potential that fits your scheme and organisation. Good example is McDuffie vs Stingley. I feel like McDuffie is let's say Joe Hadden. Allround good. Solid top 25 corner in the league. Sting is Cromartie/Peterson type. Can be one of the best in league. But that also comes with a risk. You want good corner to stark years to come. McDuffie. You want to swing for game changer. Stingley. I feel right now we need to swing and find that big player. I love Ryan Kerrigan and Brandon Sherff but we need more. We need to find a star that uplifts the team. That in the 4th Q is going to win the game.
  9. Honest question. Are they? I feel like there used to be a two to four year period to get them ready in the NFL. But with spread O in college and NFL. I feel like they are more ready and the jump is more easy. Feel like success rate went up a lot. Edit: see now MartinC said the same
  10. I like the Rutgers kid breakdown. This is stuff that you might miss. Having bad QB hurts you so bad
  11. I just don't see a lot or prospect's worth trading up for (so team willing to deal with us)
  12. In totally agreeing with the "we invested so much in D, let's give O a young building block". Only I don't see the value at 11 for any building block. You can go WR but I think the talent drop isn't there. The guys are pretty close. No way you draft RB there. TE also no. QB -> doesn't do much for you now (question if it fits Ron win now mode, he needs to be competitive this year). Oline, I like the class I like the players but our current is pretty cheap and I think good group of guys. Guard could be spot if Brandon leaves. But again pick close to 10 to a guard... OT could do. Set us up nice with two young tackles. But that's more a value pick then you really need one.
  13. But with Samuels and Terry we already have a lot of cap in WR right?
  14. If you take away the fact that he was a Eagles QB (McNabb memories), that there is talk about him having some mentality issues/bad leader and that Colts dropped him one year after trading for him when their HC knew who he was trading for... The picks vs starting QB is not bad. And his cap number for next year is interesting that you can just drop him for free if you want to. It's not like we have a heavy contract for the next year's. If he doesn't work out, you can get out of it easy.
  15. In not going to go to deep in this. This move is pure desperation. You never make good decisions in that moment.
  16. But you like the spot in the first. Feels like just out of the big guns. Straight in yo the group of guys that are early to mid first.
  17. I just dislike our spot this year. I don't love a prospect in our range. I like Sauce, but he ain't gonna be there unless QB dominos fall before us. If no QB goes you almost need to pick one. You then either go extreme high risk with Willis. Or terrible upside Pickett. First one will get rushed in the line up and second will play into the weak point of our O coordinator. We gonna run the short game all day with two deep burners at WR.
  18. Agree and if you go that route, I rather take a swing at high upside athletic type. Imo we need to find more game changers. Guys who can make something happen. Change the outcome of a game.
  19. But this is why people mark this draft as bad/weak. The lack of real start power. But position groups are pretty good and you can pick up around the same level player later in the draft. Trading down will be very popular this year.
  20. I have been telling you since the start that this year is good year to grab oline. I'm not surprised
  21. Does anybody have a read at the current FO? I didn't remember when our GM was with Lions that they drafted a lot of QBs. Stafford (..end)
