The poison pill of freedom. To preserve a concept of ‘absolute’ freedom you must allow an element within that can destroy itself.

Or you risk ‘censorship’ and ‘anti-freedom’ (tyranny) rally cries.

Even if you allow the fringe and minorities to exist… sooner or later they’ll expect more than just the right to exist. A drowning man is a dangerous one.

Eh... if anyone believes in absolute freedom... as a concept it is primitive and extreme as hell. Really, it's a child's idea of freedom.

Freedom has always been and will always be co-constrained and shaped by responsibility. Every bit of freedom any living thing gets, come with it the responsibility to maintain the underpinnings that are supporting that freedom's existence. This is as true as the laws of motion, because it is movement based. No matter how much people try to leverage, bypass, and shift responsibility, the consequences of irresponsible freedom come due, and it's only shortsightedness that mistakes the lag time of things coming due, for success in avoiding it.

Freedom and responsibility are forever connected and it is a failure to think of any without the other or to internalize paradigms that disconnect them.

We have to maintain the connective tension between them both and as we harmonize their polarities we grow and become more developed and mature people.

Unfortunately, this toddler nation has yet to truly understand and disperse that reality through society. Especially, when it comes to shared responsibility.

I saw a mock draft where they had us picking a guard at 11. That has to be crazy talk. No?

Some people see Texas A&M's Kenyon Green on the level of Vera Tucker or Rashaawn Slater from last year. An o-linemen with a guards power and a tackle's flexibility and athleticism. That kind of high level position flex is becoming even more valuable with the extended season. It's not crazy, it may even be BPA, but it's definitely not what people are hoping for.

  3. I’m so hyped to have finally gotten my hands on these seeds. They’re from one of the very few existing clones of the original 1989 Skelly “Puck” Hashplant which is a pheno of the original Neville’s Hashplant from the 70’s and early 80’s. They call it Puck because the dude who grew it used to sell the weed in hockey puck containers.

I also got a couple really cool crosses with it like Red Lebanese and Purple Nepalese. I can’t wait to grow these in the summer!

  4. When I pray, I ask god how their doing and if they need any help and if they have some spare time to look after my family. Does anybody else ask God how their doing and actually try to have a connection or do they only pray to ask for ****?

I don't know about other people, but I feel super loved and connected spiritually. I feel like I have a whole family of spirits watching over me and rooting for me. When I pray, I don't ask for crazy ****, because I understand how things have to have a natural process and the structural damage to the fabric of reality if we were to dramatically derail that process isn't worth it.

@Fresh8686That compost extract is really cool. One of my issues with trying compost teas was getting an aerator, setting it all up, and then having it sit for a day or two. Not a huge deal, but just some extra hassle. Top dressing with the compost/castings used for the extract is a pretty cool idea. Looks like it worked well.

Thanks, I feel you and felt the same. This is so much easier, cheaper, and safer really. It bypasses any of the risk of breeding harmful bacteria that comes from making teas and the actual process literally takes less than a minute to do.

I ordered a Pax vape. Anyone have any experience with one or something like it? I don’t like to smoke because of the chemicals and edibles aren’t really super desirable cause of the effects.

I’ve got a Pax vape but didn’t like it. I had trouble drawing decent amounts of vapor from it, but I got one of the first versions of it back in the day and they may have improved the design.

My favorite portable vape is The Mighty by Storz and Bickell.

  7. Thought this was kind of cool and maybe helpful to share. Our latest grow ran into a little trouble with overwatering cherry lime bubba after transplanting her into a 1 gallon pot. We had to let her dry out and she wasn’t looking like she was going to make it so we decided to water in a compost extract. As you can see it was a game changer for her and she is bouncing right back since we gave her the extract on Saturday.

Compost extracts are so much better than compost teas in my opinion unless you are doing a foliar spray application. They are faster, easier, cheaper, and less volatile.

Rather than brewing a compost tea for 24-48 hours with an air stone all you do is fill a 5 gallon bucket with however much water you need, ph it and get it room temperature. Then put compost and earthworm castings (and insect frass if you prefer. We did 2 cups of compost/castings and 2tbsp frass for half a gallon of water) in a draw string cheese cloth, put the cheese cloth in the water, and then knead the cheese cloth with your hands for 30-45 seconds, so that the water is pushing through your mixture and extracting all the beneficial nutrients, nematodes, and other things into the water. After that you take your compost mixture from the cheese cloth, top dress your plants with it, and then water your plants with the compost extract liquid you got sitting in your bucket.

I can’t wait to see how our ladies take off now that I know how amazing and easy compost extracts are.

Oh yeah, for this run we got:

Moon Mountain Kush (Florida OG/Florida OG S1 x Jaro [Sour Diesel x Hollywood Pure Kush/Hindu Kush/Black Affie). This is the lanky lady with a blue tab, from Mean Gene my favorite breeder and his Florida OG is the same cut Cookie Fam started GSC with.

Cherry Lime Bubba (Gelato 33/Cherry Limeade F5 x Bubba Kush) which is also from Mean Gene and has a purple tab.

Dubble Limes (Sour Dub [Sour Diesel x Sour Bubble] x Hollywood Pure Kush/Black Lime) which is from Mean Gene as well, has a green tab, and already has this killer bright lime smell when I do a stem rub.

Irene OG x Chem D is the last one and has a yellow tab. This one is from CSI.

I’m so excited to see how this run and goes and I’m already planning for my next crop. I’ll be growing some killer old school exotics like Red Lebanese Hashplant and Old Mendo Haze. I’ve also got access to seed stock of the original Northen Lights 1-5 from the 70’s, plus the original skunk #1, and the 1969 original haze, before they got sent to Holland and were diluted and outcrossed in ****ty ways.

I don't think he gets beyond 6 if he has another good day. I also think Pittsburgh is a very, very real threat to trade up. They don't typically do that, but its their GM's last draft. He will want to leave them well set for the future and if Tomlin signs off on future picks being used I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see them move up.

I agree with this. They moved up from 20 to 10 for Devin Bush in 2020, they will definitely do the same for a QB if they fall in love hard enough.

Those 2 plays are better than anything I saw all season from Willis on tape when it comes to passing the football. It's a good sign that he takes to coaching well and is a quick learner. Opened my eyes a little bit for sure.

How many games of his did you watch? Any 2020 games?

You are completely wrong. I know human nature and democrats would have supported him. He would have said different lines and not said the comments about drug cartels members being racist ( he never called all Mexicans racist go watch the full comment )

People without character or principles tend to project that lack onto other people. You don’t know human nature, you only know a slice of ignorant, tribal, human nature.

There are people who exist, who hold others accountable for their failings in humanity, but they sure as **** aren’t republicans. Those that were left the party and no longer support traitors and **** people like Trump.

  11. After watching the senior bowl recap it seems some there don’t think there is much to worry about with Picket’s hand size. Apparently Charles Davis has seen him practice with an NFL ball and have no issues with it and Dane Brugler thinks it’s just pre draft fluff.

  12. I definitely wouldn't mind a high end prospect in the first and Strong in the second. He's my favorite from the second tier of QB's, although he might be playing himself into the first tier if things continue. I love when guys show something new and have the potential to rise. The senior bowl is such a goldmine for good and new information.

  13. Was listening to the below and Ian Cummings from PFN said that one of the main reasons why Mat Corral cut down on his interceptions was because Lane Kifin simplified his offense for him. He basically said that Corral has trouble reading/processing higher levels of complication and had that as a red flag for him. It’s kind of similar to what @stevemcqueen1 mentioned in his breakdown a page or so back.

Because the tax code is written in a way that makes it legal.  I don't know anyone, of any political affiliation, that would choose to pay more in taxes if given a choice not to.

Thats a followers mindset and ignores the letter just quoted above in that salon article. There are people who do pay more in taxes than they need to or at least eschew taking advantage of loop holes to pay what they believe is their fair share. Yea it’s rare, but they show people are capable of wanting to contribute to the common good moreso than taking everything they can get.

LOL, the masses aren't using technology to gain equality, they are using it to build information bubbles so they think can think they are always right about everything regardless of the actual facts, so they can be happy even while being exploited.

You’re being myopic and treating the masses as a monolith. Yes, a large portion of the masses are how you described, but for the portion of the spectrum that contains people genuinely pushing for equality they depend on technology allowing for greater mobilization and coordination of the masses in order to counter balance the continued over-reach of the parasitical elites.

The other 1000 rich MFers at Davos are pretty sure they can hire people that can outgun a mob with pitchforks.

Yup, most people aren’t paying attention to it. But, class warfare is in a race between technology allowing for better organization for the masses to gain equality and technology allowing better leverage for the elites to control and escape repercussions from exploiting and enslaving the masses.

Not sure who reaches their goals first. It’s not looking good for team humanity.

As someone who works in consumer/commercial finance, I'm looking at tax returns and business financials every single day.  I can't count how many times folks with everything under the sun + some want to argue with me that they should qualify for a loan because "your underwriters don't understand that businesses write everything off to reduce tax liability".  No, we absolutely understand that but there's a fine line between writing everything down to avoid paying any taxes and having enough reported income to qualify for financing.

I guess my point in all this is that it's not just 'the rich' evading taxes, it's your neighbor down the street who runs a small business as well.  The same neighbor you'll hear griping about how heavily taxed they are and so on and so forth.  Meanwhile, they hire accountants to exploit the tax code and reduce their liability down to nothing while owning every toy under the sun.  I don't blame anyone for doing this - why wouldn't they?  The tax code in general is written in a way that makes W2 earners the suckers.  Of course the more wealth you accumulate, the easier it is to play the game and hoard wealth without paying your fair share to keep society going.

Why don’t you blame anyone for doing this? It’s revolting for people to be so disconnected from any semblance of community and shared responsibility. To have so little honor and character. I’m not expecting people to be a saint, but it’s striking how sick our society has gotten that such behavior is so widespread, accepted, and expected.

I don’t get why people choose to be such abusive parasites.

I don’t mind Willis. But I think quarterbacks who struggle to read defenses in college tend to continue that trend at the next level. To me he seems like a one read and run around guy. He also holds the ball for a long time to try to make something happen.

I’m not a fan of Lamar Jackson and don’t prefer that style of offense or quarterback. I think he is significantly overrated as a QB. As an athlete I think he is phenomenal. Willis is similar to that. I don’t think we’d ever really find a groove as a passing offense with Willis. Lamar is better as a passer and a better runner than Willis.

That said I think he could pan out given a good situation. His athleticism is elite.

Not necessarily the player but I love the style of QB that Rodgers is/was. Josh Allen. Trey Lance.

A pure runner is very Heinicke to me. Willis has a better arm but I’m not sure he’s going to have the same awareness. That was one of Heinicke’s strengths even in college whereas Willis struggles a bit with that.

So keeping in mind the style of QB I like… Corral fits that mold best. I happen to think Howell is a better QB than Corral but not by much and Corral has the style I covet. He’d probably be my QB1 if he were a few inches taller and a bit bulkier.

I feel you and especially agree with Corral being QB 1 if he was taller and more solid. I’m approaching my evaluations with the frame that I don’t yet know if Willis is only a one read and go kind of guy. That limitation is more of an unknown to me than the limitations of the other QB’s which are more tangible/visible.

I do know that he had the worst supporting cast of the 4 and has the greatest opportunity to show a leap with better coaching and support. I’m excited to evaluate him when he doesn’t have to play hero ball and has enough time to progress past his first read.

  18. Ive finally started watching these QBs and I can’t wait till the senior bowl.

I think people are underestimating how high Malik Willis will go or their being a little short sighted with his development time. Especially if he shows a jump at the senior bowl with a much better supporting cast around him

On up-side/traits that best translate to the NFL he’s QB1 for me.

    Willis

    Corral

    Howell

    Pickett

For those that don’t like Willis, what do you know for a fact that he can’t do?

I love Corral but his frame matched with his style give me serious durability concerns on the next level. Howell is great too, especially with the deep ball, but his pocket awareness bothers me, and his run style will not be something he can lean on like he does in college. Pickett had a great season, but I wonder about his NFL ceiling and of course the hand size.

Willis has to show more evidence of going through progressions and that he can play well within a system when he isn’t asked to put the whole team on his shoulders every game. But I love his toughness and strength, his ability to throw on the move, variance in throw velocity, and of course his elite athleticism.

He has the potential to be this interesting grab bag of traits from Lamar Jackson, Russel Wilson, and Cam Newton.
