That Chargers game feels like a trap to me. Cleveland is playing everyone tight + on the road + they're the Chargers.

Something I unfortunately learned from personal experience is that people who take their own lives do not leave notes far more often than those that do. I'm always skeptical when I see reports of notes when someone dies under suspicious circumstances.

Well, my Saturday is off to a very productive start.

If you connect to your cell provider's network, that's air to air. Doesn't it all hit physical infrastructure at some point, at some hop along the line? I just caught around the part where she was talking about the laughing on the radio while driving. The pain in her voice was palpable.

I read some interesting theorizing about Belichick and the Lions game. For the life of me, I can't remember where I read it or who wrote it, but the gist was Belichick sometimes likes to view some games against non-conference teams as less important, and tries to get a jump on planning/preparing for the following week's game if it's against a conference, and especially a division opponent. In essence, he sacrifices some prep for a game he views as an acceptable loss, to make sure they're as ready as they can be for the more important game for playoff seeding, etc. No idea if it was just made up BS, but I thought it seemed like something that could totally be in his wheelhouse. They did look like ass against Detroit, and it seems like they have no serious threats in the passing game, outside of Gronk. I'm interested to see that game this week. No way I'd put money on it though.

Mom was definitely 100% Filipino. I'll definitely have to take your word on that though. There was an American dad involved. Either way, I miss those sweet, sweet sausages. Had them, and other stuff she used to cook numerous times since, but nothing ever quite lived up to some of her dishes. Her cooking was particularly heavenly.

Longanisas, rice, and eggs was a standard weekend breakfast at my girlfriend's house when I was younger. Oh man, that **** was good. Her parents got kind of sick of me popping in every Saturday morning..

For the now rare trip to McDonalds, I get the double cheesburgers. I used to always get QPs or Big Macs. I never get fries anymore. I still like the taste of all that stuff, but it's harder to recover from the older I get. It's like an hour or two battle to fight the urgent need to just sit on my ass or nap afterwards. Self checkout lines are great, but I hate when people use them to checkout full carts of groceries while lines of people with a handful of items stack up behind them.

I just saw Kingsman: The Golden Circle and thought Elton John was pretty pointless in it until near the end. A few scenes with him had me cracking up.
