Think it was Madden that routinely said if one wants their kid to have a good chance at making it to the NFL teach them to be a long snapper. It's a skill possessed by few at any given time.

I wish I’d known that when I was a kid. I was a C but also LS on my teams in HS/college. I must have done a few hundred snaps in games (at least) and there was only 1 bad one. Once you know how to do it, you’re pretty much locked in. As long as the ball is always delivered to the hands of the holder or punter there’s no reason to tinker with your technique.

It’s been painful watching this ****show, and it’s been going on all season. It just became super-apparent this week.

That worm-burner snap should never, ever happen in a game, at practice, wherever. Never. But, here we are…

If only I were half my age, I’d ask to try out. 🤣

PS - old guy question: do any NFL starting centers double as LS? I ask because snapping in shotgun is basically the same as a FG. It’s a common skill. Adjusting to snapping punts isn’t a big stretch. So why do teams have LS specialists?

I'm glad he's here as I want them to lose out.

But him still being on this roster is a serious indictment of Rivera's judgement, considering he is actually trying to win.

He’s a danger to the kicker, holder and punter. If you **** up on a punt or a FG they can get hurt.

After some of the **** snaps this season, Cheeseman should be feeling really bad. They really need to find someone else - someone consistent.

  3. Given the dog**** excuse for an OL I’m consistently amazed at how productive Howell can be.

A weak link or two in OL is bad but not insurmountable. A good QB can still make that work. When then entire unit is the weakest link, it’s a special QB that can still be productive despite being under constant pressure.

Having an OL as weak as ours limits what the entire offense can do and makes it much more predictable.

I honestly think it’s amazing how well Howell has done this season, and even more amazing that he hasn’t had a season- or career-ending injury.

I also like his very short memory and ice-in-the-veins approach. He really can’t be shook.

We might move on from him but I’d love to see him with an OL that has 2 or 3 real starters (or even 5).  I hope he stays and keeps progressing.

    Hail.

  4. I would have found someone who could find the right football people, then gotten the **** out of the way. 😀

If only I was an incompetent idiot who got incredibly lucky once, I too could’ve ****ed this franchise up beyond redemption and made you all hate me too. 🤪

    Thanks for the laugh.

I’ve been steaming all night. ****ing Commanders. And it’s my birthday too you useless ****s!!! 😡

But this makes me laugh. I was in a band that did a lot of touring and played tons of shows. One time we played a showcase where colleges come to see acts they might book. This guy was on right before us. It was a real Spinal Tap moment.

    Thanks again! 🙂
