    Ya’lls are cutthroat on Howell. This guy has potential. Growing pains are inherent in a first season of starting, let alone being a 5th round pick. Lighten up, he’s got the tools to be good. Making a lot of bad decisions, but the guy could be something halfway special if you let him play it out.

    At this point, is there anyway he is actually here next season? My magic 8 ball says, “all signs point to no”. He’s trending towards being a draft bust for sure. After he leaves the team at the conclusion of the season, bounces around between a few other teams in a couple of years, maybe he can be brought back as a “sideline director of team morale” to cheer the guys on. Seems like a natural fit with the experience he has in it so far.

    10-7 is the sweet spot for me. Feels like a “win a few games we shouldn’t, and lose a few games that we shouldn’t”. 500 in the division. Bold prediction - we beat the Bills, but lose to a Taylor Heineke led Falcon team.

    6 games played for the NYG, 14 tackles. I wouldn’t say he was a star. But then there was an Achilles injury, followed by a motorcycle crash. On an unrelated note - If my memory serves me right, he handed Steve Young and Troy Aikman concussions that ended their careers.

    Man I miss the days of having a stacked o-line. What you sacrifice in one area, you gain in another (hopefully). The same conversation was being has over the years about defense. Solidify the d-line, it will free up the back end, etc. Somewhere in between for both sides.

    This team could go 12-5, or 4-13. Somewhere in-between in more likely. I expect a talented team that just can’t quite fire on all cylinders game in and game out. Defense shows up one week, offense the other. These young guys have a lot of promise, but I believe they will be underutilized in the coming season.

    All in on Sam Howell. It’s not fair, but life in sports rarely is. If he plays poorly, he’ll be benched come week 5 or so. New regime coming in next season. Wishing the best for this guy.

    If we’re operating out of that formation the majority of the time, speed isn’t going to do a whole lot if we can’t tackle. I’d love to see a swarming D, but if it’s a bunch of dudes bouncing off of guys, it’ll be a long year.

    Is this front office incapable of drafting offense in the first few rounds or what? Defensive minded head coach, who should be able to make do with some role players on D, yet we just keep stacking the defense with early draft picks? I’m so confused

    With a ship like that, entering a sale of a long malaised franchise would be unstoppable.

    No. Let this defensive minded staff cook with the ingredients they have. So many defensive first round picks in the past 10 years I’m completely ready to load up the offense with some first round talent that isn’t Dwayne Haskins, and Josh Doctson. Brandon Sherff was drafted high as a tackle, and we shifted him to guard. It’d be nice to hit on a 1st round offensive talent that plays the position he was drafted for on offense. We drafted a LB in Jamin Davis two years ago, let him marinate for a few.

    Heck of a dude. I feel like that letter was a girlfriend breaking up with me. This part of Redskins, Washington, commanders, whatever the heck we are will go down as one of the most tumultuous periods for a team. TH was here for that, and gave us hope. For a dude that was sleeping on a couch weeks before starting a playoff game, that’s pretty cool.
