I posted the below in the 20 draft thread looking like it could be another perfect prediction from everyones favorite sage of football; warning signs were strong with Chase Young. Only player not to show for OTA, drinking his own kool aid. Laying on the ground like dead fish Haynesworth after getting pancaked, taking plays off, not even in the game for key plays, getting handled by two of the worse OL in the entire league. The greats on the edge like Watt have that drive, the only thing I see that has the strong drive with Chase young is his mouth. All the talent in the world but does he have the heart? Remains to be seen IMHO, but the signs were there for a possible overrated selection for anyone that cared to watch some OhSt games. I think he turns it "on" as the season progresses but the first two games have been poop. "Posted this earlier and saw a similar pattern in the second half, he played ultra lazy today, if this is how he gets up for a big game count me out on wanting any part of it - #2 pick in the draft needs to be highly driven - the physical attributes tend to even out at the NFL level. We already have one ohio state player that needed "help" getting motivated, we dont need another one.. PASS"

There is no options out there that are better than running Allen / Heinikie and seeing if you can sneak up for Zach Wilson in the draft. Lets review: --Derek Carr for 2 firsts: So a JAG that cripples the team in the draft for years, not sure if serious. Absolutely not. Would do a 3rd on him at best. --Darnold: Come on, is the idea to get better or worse? --Watson for your entire draft for the next 3 seasons: Price is too high and the idea that he is upset he didnt get to hand pick the GM screams entitlement and attitude issues. PASS. All three of the above are total non starters which leaves us with: --Fitzmagic: I love this dude, but hes the definition of journeyman, how many wins does he buy you over Allen/Heinkie? --Mariota: Pretty sure he has been on the verge of being out of the league a few times, again dont think he buys us much over what we have in house --Minshew: Would prob buy the jersey, but AGAIN im not sure I see realized value over what we have So, HOLD with those DIAMOND HANDS or put together a mini package to get into Wilson on a rookie deal

NOOOOOO to Watson - price is too high and he is clearly a mental issue pulling a Lebron James trying to run the franchise. No room for that MeShawn Watson behavior in the new WFT culture

No friggin brainer you get this guy in your bldg for the next 2 years - at worse you have a competent backup with a skillset that can keep the opposing team off balance, at best yeah maybe you have a starter here

I cant imagine a world where he is a 16 game a year QB with everything that happened, but damn if I dont want the fairy tale ending to the movie Yeah prob what will happen - I just find him to be such an inspiration and really a high character winner that I want guys like that around the building. But your scenario is much more likely

How anyone can be remotely critical of Alex right now is beyond me. The man is literally the greatest comeback story in the history of sports - and pre AND post injury is the ONLY QB we have on the roster that has continually won with this organization. The win rate statistics are undeniable and jarring. Unlike some of the pure trash potatoes we have had in this org and at that position, he is pure class. Anyone who would question his drive and desire is quite frankly out of their mind. Now at some point will it be time for him to hang it up if that leg just wont cooperate long term? Sure, but for a man that nearly died to a football injury and is willing to come out there and make a run for THIS organization.. yeah i got a long leash. Hope he actually joins the org in some capacity after retirement - which is hopefully after a year tutoring our new QB

I dislike this man so much, I would literally cheer on anyone extorting him, suing him, or otherwise hitting him in the wallet and taking action which may result in his removal as owner of this franchise. The merits of their case is secondary at this point, I dont think hes a "good dude who just doesnt know how to lead" anymore.

I think Alex and Allen gives us the luxury of taking BPA during the draft and not "panic" picking a QB. If "their guy" is there, great, but if Sewell is there and their QB is not they can take the best player available., I like it

Sure, alot of poop in the poop sandwich, but its undeniable that Young's mental collapse and boneheaded play directly led to the team losing the game.

Yep it has begun, what do you expect when you blow a #2 pick on a guy who has not lived up to expectations and who single handedly made a dumb play that literally cost the team the game - meanwhile other players drafted at THE position of need that were there at #2 are excelling. The criticism is fair and expected.

Yep what i was saying all along, if you watched him against real competition in college he was easily handled. Oh and I heard he treats fans like garbage too. Tua plays with heart and grit, wil be a great QB. Great pick skins
