  1. Dude, BJ took it to Machida at Heavyweight in Japan. You really think he is afraid of Fitch. Say what you will about BJ but one thing is this man is fearless and will take any on anybody. He will just add the requiste fat to his body to make the weight and fight.
  2. The 'tournament' is not a crappy setup but is entirely the right one. This tournament is really just a gimmick at best. Here's how it really is. They have the championship match in Overeem vs. Werdum (the number 1 contender). They have Fedor vs Silva as a title contention match and the winner gets a shot at the title. On the other side of the tourney is simply their normal matches to get contendership. This is probably the normal course of these matches anyway. They simply just called it a tournament. The only difference between this and the UFC setup is that in SF the match progression is already set in place. This is actually very beneficial for SF because they have a hard time getting the fighters to actually fight each other unlike the UFC. If they had the matches setup like a normal tourney with the top dogs verseus the weak fighters, they might be some upsets which leads to their cash cow not happening which is Overeem vs Fedor which they desperately want for PPV.
  3. "Lance Armstrong did a number of things and he gave himself cancer," Sonnen said on Pro MMA Radio, as transcribed by MMA Mania. "He cheated, he did drugs, and he gave himself cancer. Well, instead of saying 'Hey listen, I cheated and gave myself cancer, don't be like me,' he actually made himself the victim and then went out and profited something like $15 million from this 'Hey, poor me, let's find a cure for cancer' campaign instead of just coming clean and saying, 'Look, here's what I did, I screwed myself up, and I hope people learn from my mistakes.'" -Chael Sonnen http://www.mmafighting.com/2010/08/04/chael-sonnen-lance-armstrong-used-drugs-gave-himself-cancer/ Talk about Hypocrisy. Geez man, I understand that alot of fighters do PEDs and I'm not shocked if any athlete gets caught and don't really judge when they do. But to say these comments and then test positive. That's low.
  4. Well isn't the point of P4P based on skills and weight is thrown out the window? If that's the case then Lesnar deservably isn't in the top 10 because while his takedown and top ground game ground n pound would be top notch, his bjj, defensive guard, striking certainly wouldn't be. The way I believe that P4P works is if strength being equal whose skills would win out in that list. Looking at the list, I believe all of them would beat Lesnar. However, I didn't see Fedor on there. Just because he got subbed by a master bjj ace doesn't make him irrevelant. He should at least be below GSP.
  5. Sonnen losing like that is like the Redskins being up 28-14 at the last two minutes in the super bowl then the Patriots come back and score two touchdowns and two point conversion to steal the game. I was shocked.
  6. Dude, Bisping sucks too. I can't stand that guy. The UFC will keep giving him fights he can win because he's a huge star in the UK. He is the UK's version of Forrest Griffin. Mediocre fighter that's hugely popular in his home country. UFC thought he could beat Wandy and that's the only reason they put him in the cage with Bisping. Though, I would have paid good money to see Bisping getting kneed to death by Anderson if somehow he had got past Henderson. That fight would have put Leben v Silva to shame in the awesomeness that Silva pulverize Bisping.
  7. When the Hamil fight was going on and the announcers keep on talking about Hamill's record only having two blemishs and he won three fights in a row, didn't anyone else just keeping thinking of the absolute thrashing he recieved by Jon Jones. They didn't mention that at all. Jon Jones destroyed Hamill and the only reason he lost was because he kicking so much ass from the mount that he threw some illegal elbows.BTW, Jardine sucks, and I don't want to see anymore of his fights. It's like if you need a win against a 'name' to boast your self esteem after a tough loss they give you Jardine.
  8. To think, all it would have taken is for Page to be a little bit more collected and landed those two missed shots when Rashad was rocked on the ground, and justice against the Wall-N-Stall would have been served. I really want all of Greg Jackson's fighters to lose because his tactics are really killing this sport in terms of popularity growth. It's like if a football club figured out how to stop any passing in the NFL and the opposing team could only run the ball for like maybe 5 - 6 yards at most each play and this happens for the whole game. Jackson's fighters win by making a fight not happen. That is just wrong. Although, as a figure head GSP is really great guy but I have to root against him now because of his lay n pray tactics.
  9. The Mosque of Mason. Everyone seems to love this guy. Will he make the team and be the running back star of the future?
